The Developer Update came out yesterday and I'm mainly will talk about the Awakend Awarness change. They remove the extra two seconds after you hook someone of the aura from nearby survivors because of starstruck and lethal pursuer and...just stop...

How long will this continue on? The people demand a Nurse rework/nerf since months and nothing is happening except that her two broken addons are now less broken.

The Extra 2 seconds of the perk made the perk good and now it's just meh. You made a good anti Camp perk because killers could just continue with the next chase but what is the decision here?

wHe HaVe To NeRf ThE pErK bEcAuSe It Is ToO sTrOnG oN nUrSe instead of just finally looking at the killer that breaks the game completely and changing them.

I just don't understand the use for AA now tbh. Why run a perk to see aura of survivors while you carry someone? At least the 2secs allow you to see which direction a survivor was running and give chase or see if someone is hiding for a quick unhook after you leave. Now it just seems useless to me. Like I don't need to see someone aura if they doing a sabotage play since 9/10 times I can see them plan as day touching a hook. Just doesn't make sense to me. Just make nurse's blink attacks special attacks instead of base. Devs stop holding some perks back just because you have some love for current nurse. Pretty much most the community including streamers say she needs a rework/nerf...

No amount of perk nerfs is ever going to make Nurse balanced.

We should just accept that getting our heads stomped to paste and getting our heads stomped to paste with spikes is gonna have the same result and let other killers have perks already.

After I thought about it for awhile, don’t think you can change nurse reasonably while keeping both sides happy

Reworking her in a way like Freddy is a terrible idea as that would require you to change her play style, which would take out anyone who liked her playstyle

Giving her special attacks on blinks sounds like a good idea…on paper as now her power has a few good builds and most of them that would be left people actually hate facing

an Add-on pass would be upsetting to see imo as other killers need an add-on pass way more than her

i’m gonna be entirely honest, no matter how you change Nurse I literally don’t think you can as all of her power comes from perks, and then again you can also just play stealthy too but i’ll probably get yelled at for saying that take

I get it, people hate facing Nurse, I don’t like facing Nurse as well, but I don’t think we reasonably have any way to change her without impacting other killers severely or without impacting her player base severely, however I do have more takes about dbd’s balance that I would say but thats off topic, but this is just my hot take

(plus other killers can weaponize Starstruck and Agitation as well, not just nurse)

The nurse needs a rework, simple as that. She's overpowered as a PvE experience in a PvP game. She plays against herself, not the survivor.

She is my precious little girl and she gets cranky if i dont feed her 3-4 kills every match 🥰🥰🥰

It sucks but I get it. I'm a solo survivor and we cop it too sometimes where perks that can benefit the average player are nerfed because they're abusable or OP with swfs or trolls (Reassurance is one).

    No?

Nurse needs some add-ons changes, sure. But you can not change her base-kit. And if she has this base-kit, probably some perks will be nerfed and this is alright.

Thana nerfed cuz Legion & Plague and it was okey but whenever one perk nerfed for Nurse, now it is problem?

No, thanks. Nerf perks, not killers.

I was vehemently against the Thana nerf because the perk rewarded killers for injuring multiple people, not camping or tunneling. Legion and Plague don't suddenly become unbeatable just because the games lasted a bit longer. Nothing stopped the survivors from bringing toolboxes or Prove Thyself to speed up the gens, or bring Counterforce if the killer also brought Pentimento.

Yes, Nurse is the problem, not every perk that has to be changed just because she exists. Awakened Awareness was the one that broke the camel's back, because I was also vehemently against pre-nerf Hangman's back on the old Deathslinger ptb getting nerfed, and now that we finally got something similar, it has to suffer the same fate. Killer's aura reading perks suck. If you're gonna make a perk that can let you only see survivors' auras when you're carrying someone, at least give it a benefit like having a big range or have a 2-second lingering effect.

Killer nerfs/reworks that were necessary have been few and far between, but the most glaring candidate of all, y'all don't want to do it.

Whenever they adds perks and they see these perks are busted on some killers, they should nerf killers instead perks? Is that what are you saying?

X is so strong on Blight, Y is busted on Plague, Z is almost broken on Hag. So we should nerf Blight, Plague and Hag instead X, Y and Z? Is that looks fair to you? No? Then why we should nerf Nurse because aura perks are strong on her? This does not looks fair to me.

We always should nerf perks if they looks problematic on specific killers. Nerfing killers is wrong way to go.

The double standards are absolutely hilarious.

BHVR nerfs one single perk with a note alluding to her and other killers given the pluralized description, and this is suddenly "this single killer is holding back perk balance".

But buffing 17 perks that are good or insane on her and releasing 40 perks that are okay, great, or insane on her while never once changing her or stating she is an issue is… inconvenient to remember, I guess.

BHVR nerfing other perks due to other killers having problematic interactions with it is… also inconvenient to remember, I guess.

And what makes it even funnier is it’s over a perk that logically isn’t good on anyone, even Nurse. You can start 0m from the Nurse and exit the range before the pickup animation can even finish, meaning she can’t even look around or move yet till you’re already gone.

And if you’re in a corner or somewhere you can’t do that, all it takes is hopping into a locker for a little bit till they hook and leave. Even with Starstruck, unless they have Infectious/good game sense/saw you physically or scratch marks or whatever, that would remove AA spotting you, which would also mean Nurse wouldn’t have an immediate target to laser with Starstruck either. And even besides Starstruck/Infectious/AA/etc, survivors should be split up against Nurse regardless anyways.

Seriously over 2 secs...that's all Nurses fault...the Thanta Nerf was because of Legion and Vommy Mommy because they could easily injure or Perma injure the survivors, Nurse did cause that. Same goes for this change, there are multiple other Killers that could easily abuse that 2 secs of info and use Starstruck to quickly down survivors.

Oh and if everyone is so worried there is a easy fix....make every attack after first blink a special attack.

I find it more funny everyone is screaming for a Nurse Nerf wait I'm sorry a Freddy style Nerf to Nurse over....2 secs....

Unpopular opinion apparently but I think this was a good change. While Nurse benefitted from it the MOST, she is NOT the only killer who could make use of it.

A Blight with Starstruck, AA, Lethal could use those 4 seconds just as easily. Spirit could easily make use of that combo. Hillbilly could make use of that combo even if he misses the chainsaw, he'd be on your ass in seconds while you're exposed.

I was looking forward to running AA and Starstruck on Wesker.

I mean, I still will, and I'll probably still get value (just look around before you hook, duh), but... um... wait what was the problem again?

Go one step further. Make blink attacks special attacks. Then she wouldn't be able to abuse Starstruck or this perk they're nerfing.
