Survivors prevail once again

Better Than New will give the standard 6% repair speed. it's the other effects that got buffed. they make no mention of removing it, they're just saying what's changed, which is the buff to the other components.

Is this confirmed though ?

BBQ still works perfectly fine. Used it on huntress 2 days ago. If your aura reading isn't working, you may want to check if they have distortion or report it as a bug
(sarcasm, because you LITERALLY have always had a perk to show you where to go for years)

Sad how all survivors need to do is cry about it and get their way. Similar to an actual baby throwing a tantrum and getting its way
1 -
Killers do the same so you can't exactly just say survivors doing this.
Killers recently started to beg for PT to get nerfed there have been a lot threads on this topic the past month and they will probably get their way in a handful of months

Dude, walk 3 steps to a locker. Geezuz. On most maps there are lockers around the hooks. Bam. Darkness Revealed.
Lethal Pursuer: 9 full seconds at the beginning of the game, and and adds +2 seconds to *every aura reading perk*.
Nurse's Calling: Loud noise notification whenever a survivor heals. Get into range, constant aura of them.
Discordance: 2 survivors work on a gen? The gen lights up in green.
BBQ: Works *the exact same as before the patch*. I don't get why you're saying you can't use it anymore. It's literally the same. Lethal Pursuer will add +2 seconds to it. But they just removed the BP bonus. That's it. So why can't you use the exact same perk for info as you did previously?
Spies from the Shadows: Get a loud explosion/notification whenever a survivor disturbs a crow.
I'm All Ears: Any survivor performing a rushed action had their aura revealed to you for 6 seconds (within 48 meters).
No Way Out: Survivors try to open the gate- it's blocked for 42 seconds and you get a notification what gate they're at.
Floods of Rage: When a survivor is unhooked ALL survivor auras are revealed to you for 6 seconds (add Lethal that's 8!).
These are just off the top of my head. Not even going into Killer Add-ons either (think about Peek-a-Boo Myers or Wraith All-seeing). In a nutshell, you're just saying you don't want to leave the hook. That's it. You want to camp and tunnel because it's the lazy, easy way.

Do you normally play in EU? in NA where i play the evening has longer queue times for survivor. Clearly the last patch brought back more killer player b/c what was previously a 5 minute wait during peak survivor times, is now less than 1 minute.
To expand on my point, now that buffed BT is basekit, survivors can run something else besides OTR. I normally play solo q so i know it'll open up stronger builds for me since i no longer need to worry about unsafe unhooks. So, sure, i'm being a bit dramatic but we'll wait and see how this plays out. I expect the killer population to drop shortly after killer players get their Wesker fill.

You.....you do know BBQ and Chili is a thing right? The perk that shows auras of Survivors outside your Terror Radius after you hook someone, Thrilling Tremors can effectively show what gens were worked on when you pick someone up, Discordance shows when 2 people are on a gen, just play Doc with calm add-ons and the perk that increases your terror radius and go wild. Nobody is telling you to down, hook someone and twidle your thumbs because you're either too lazy to go find other survivors and would rather just stare into the eyes of the one hooked and wonder "Why are gens popping?? Reeeeee" also they nerfed Awakened Awareness because they said certain Killers would benefit too well from it: Nurse.

Also Devour Hope, Make Your Choice, Grim Embrace, No Way Out, Dying Light, Monstrous Shrine (any scourge hook really) all award the Killer for leaving a hooked survivor or hooking multiple survivors. Just have pain res and dead man's switch and bam, instantly know where survivors are since the gen will be blocked.

Nerfed to what exactly?
0 -
You're not wrong. It's much easier to do that than learn the mechanics of each killer. No argument here.
1 -
Thank you for letting me know you're low MMR, by suggesting perks like Grim Embrace and Monstrous Shrine.
1 -
How dare a killer for wanting to actually win. What a joke

I suspect they are going to boost survivors quite soon. It’s very clear that less people are playing the survivor role, and it’s well-known that survivors are a little more necessary than killers because the games need 4 survivors for every 1 killer.
0 -
Weird, it’s almost like the killer’s objective is to prevent survivors escaping.
1 -
Survivor hive mind mad
0 -
With the way you're talking about how there's no incentive to leave the hook, you're hardly in any position to talk about anyone else's MMR.
1 -
They nerfed Wesker at the same time, because they can't just make killer stronger. They're always obligated to make survivor stronger as well when they do that.
0 -
But I bet the 2 god pallets in the main room are still there.
1 -
The Reassurance nerf is one that they themselves asked for. "But then I can't unalive myself on hook!" Maybe you shouldn't be doing that then? And Better Than New being yet another gen speed perk for survivors, just for getting healed? Nuh-uh. It's better off being the new Leader that they made it into.
0 -
Survivors asked for that first nerf, you know, because as soon as it hit live every single 3-man SWF in existence was gonna hold the random hostage (in reality that would have been a rarity, because who wants to do that with their time?). Now those same people who worried about that possibility are complaining about the nerf or using it to say, "See? Survivors get nerfed too." You can't make this up.

I feel like OP must be a certain british stremaer's alter ego,, jokes aside if they remove every single effect that speeds up gens except maybe resilience and toolboxes (brand new part needs to go that addon is disgusting) and reduce size of some maps game will be in a much better place
2 -
I typically don’t go after the person who was just unhooked- I go for the person who did the unhook. Now the only problem with that may be if they have the new Mettle of Man, DH, or BOTH! But that’s a different story. I rather keep trying to whittle away at the survivors trading hooks- it increases my chances of getting more than 1 sacrificed, as opposed to just tunneling that one unhooked survivor out with less points. I’d rather roll the dice and try for one more, even if it means risking losing that one guaranteed kill.

Yes, I play on EU. And I have instant Survivor Queues during the whole day whenever I play. Killer Queues are either terrible (morning to late afternoon) or just a bit long (evening to night).
Before 6.1.0 it was instant Survivor Queue during the whole day and longer during the evening/night and Killer vice-versa.
4 -
1) I never asked for that and so that last statement definitely doesn't apply to me.
2) They took the easy way out. Just five the on-hook Survivor the ability to ignore Reassurance, and also cap match lengths
1 -
Low skill and MMRKillers brought this in themselves, though, by not adapting and leaving their hooks, exploring the world out there, but by staying home and slapping that meat on that hook.
The tunnelling and camping really went overboard and I wouldn't attribute this just to whiny survivors.
3 -
I really like how you make assumptions about my arguments on Reassurance and my will to end games early. I'm sure this quality of yours is greatly appreciated by many and grants you a lot of love.
As for the "they themselves asked for it", most survivors asked for a way for the hooked person to reject the reassurance should the game turn into a hostage situation where the teammate is indefinitely hooked. So that, you know, the anti camping perk works against camping killers without having to have a whole team of people using it.
As for Better Than New, yeah, I wouldn't be against another gen repair speed perk. Out of 9 games played yesterdays, the survivors saw the gates being powered (not opened) twice, whether that was because of killer scummy plays being rewarded by the game or because of matchmaking doing an oopsie and putting much more experienced killers in front of us so that they don't have to wait in queue (nevermind our own entertainment or chances of escaping).
1 -
Weird, the post reads as if you had an objective, or at least an agenda.
Having an objective doesn´t mean it has to be handed down on a plate, which is what happened after the last patch, at least when solo queue is considered. But a lot of killers seem to only consider swf if the situation suits them.
0 -
But you did fear that the perk as it was would be used to hold people hostage?
0 -
Yeah, actually. Which is why I'd have significantly appreciated the option to allow a hooked survivor to ignore any current and future effects of the perk Reassurance, a substantially better QOL feature rather than nerfing the perk.
0 -
Better worry about mid chapter update because there's been nothing done to camping (except band aid perk like Reassurance) and solo que will still be miserable after Project:W release.
At this moment, I'm certain some of killer buffs will eventually be taken away. Maybe BHVR will realize even if they buff killers and make fair for both, some players don't change their playstyle, slowdown perks and all they need to do is adjusting killers one by one and balancing maps, not giving common massive buffs.
0 -
I don’t care about people who can’t play the game. My grandma would 4K at low mmr with Onryo or trapper- it doesn’t mean they are or killer in general is OP.
0 -
them making no mention of removing the repair bonus means that the repair bonus isn't there. it's like if the patch notes said "fearmonger's exhaust effect now lasts 10 seconds (up from 5)". that doesn't mean the blindness is gone, it just means the exhaust got increased.
that's what's happening here. they're buffing all the non-repair aspects, but the repair aspect is still there, it's just staying at its original 6%.

According to coffee those aren't enough, you're talking to a brick wall, they want the survivors to walk up to them, put their item down, and not move till the hook all 4 survivors
4 -
No point in trying dude, you're talking to a wall
1 -
You said that there were no incentives for leaving the hook, I merely stated some perks that do so, Grim embrace blocks all gens for 40 seconds after hooking all survivors and monstrous shrine grants 20% faster entity progression if you're not within 24 meters, you only get as much out of perks if you actually put them to use but of course if you sit there with your thumb up your bum staring at the survivor you just hooked as the others slam gens thinking "REEEEEE, I HaVe nO iNcEnTiVe tO lEaVe tHe HoOk" while there are the giant red auras called generators that survivors will likely be by, then of course you won't get any value from the perks, nobody is going to hold your hand and walk you over and pint saying "here coffee, here's that naughty survivor you were trying so hard to find" move your left analog stick and make an actual effort to find survivors
