- Blast MineChanged the behaviour when a placed mine times outIf the mine times out without being triggered, the entire perk deactivates and the Survivor will need to repair a generator to re-earn the mine (previously, a timed out mine would be allow the Survivor to immediately place another one)
I'm beyond angry. This perk didn't deserve that change at all. Revert it.

I guess it's because you could just throwing the blast mine on the gen with no thought process and eventually be rewarded.
Granted I don't think the perk really needed this nerf, but I guess it's just to make the perk more thoughtful in use.

complete BS. Blast Mine gamers know the pain all too well of sometimes struggling just to get the generator progress, and then the killer doesnt kick gens at all.
The fact that this perk got nerfed for a Resident Evil chapter is insulting

Why was this changed? The amount you have to do to get the perk to activate was fine because we got it back if the generator wasn't kicked. Please change it back or make it so it activates sooner.

what thought process exactly do I have to put while using this perk in order to avoid a situation where the killer just ignores the gen and makes me waste ~60 seconds of my gentime?
Blast mine was already balanced because the killer could always choose to ignore kicking the gen at the moment and come back to it later and survivor could do nothing about it.

But why? Sure you can just not apply it to a gen unless you're about to run from the killer, but the little bit of extra info you could share by just popping it on a gen was a really nice little bonus too 😔

I consistently run Blastmine and I might get out 1 use out of it, on extremely rare occasions I've had 2. This nerf is so unnecessary. Killers can already easily tell a survivor put a Blastmine on a gen because it has the Blastmine in top and is smoking. They can easily avoid a gen with Blastmine until it runs out and then they don't need to worry about it. Blastmine was already nerfed with the gen time increase because it takes longer to get to 60% completion of a gen.

Random nerfs like this makes me think BHVR runs a perk roulette every month and whatever gets picked receives a random restriction for the sake of filling a patch list.

I just saw this. This is a pretty significant nerf. You were able to use the perk in solo queue to communicate with teammates that you were on a generator. That's kind of completely destroyed now? It's just not worth using it that way anymore.
Did this perk have an incredibly high usage rate that I'm not aware of or something?

I will never understand this idea that things moved to feedback are somehow hidden, the section is open to everyone.

This is ridiculous. Blast Mine was fine as it was and now it's garbage. It takes so much work to get it already and that was fine before because if the killer didn't kick the gen at least you had it to use elsewhere. Now it's stupidly situational like almost every other survivor perk. It feels like survivors can't have any fun perks anymore without them being unnecessarily nerfed into uselessness.
This needs to be reverted.

I guess if you want to ignore the part where I say I don't think it needed the nerf. Just saying what I expect was BHVR's thought process.
Honestly the fact you could do that with Blast Mine probably didn't help it in the eyes of BHVR. I imagine they saw the perk as being good for info and could get a stun and wanted to focus it more on the stunning the killer part. But this really ain't the way to do that since otherwise you have a perk you activate that can do absolutely nothing then you have to rebuild it back up.

Wow...when the perk runs out, at least cut down the time it takes on a gene to activate it again. It's taking far too long.
I used this for the blinding rift challenges because I suck with flashlights. Now I am really pissed off.

Feedback is directed to the team, other forum users and players can't make changes to the game.
I understand the complaints, it's important to remember that we need to keep things in order to make collecting feedback easier for those who need to do it.

Exactly. Blast Mine wasn't that strong in the first place. It was a fun meme perk that bought a little time when it worked. And it's not like the killer couldn't double kick the gen, which is what most of them did when getting hit by the perk. This is literally just nerfing a perk just for the sake of nerfing it. It's stupid.

Why do this? I was pretty happy with this updated. They made so many good choices. And then they just sneak this in here, ruining one of my favorite, mediocre-but-fun perks to run for absolutely no reason. Ughhhhh. This is really the only time I've actually been mad about a perk change.

Totally unnecessary change imo. I have run this perk a lot lately and it already was a challenge to get any value at all. At most you could get 2 stuns this change just makes it unfun. The requirements to use it are to big and losing the entire perk without value makes it not worth taking anymore.
It was fun while it lasted I guess.
