Pain resonance and DMS

What happened to the "fix" that whole thing had overall the reason it was there was people relied on it to much. So then why was it put back to the old state. Because not going to lie most of the time when the killer brings that build I know I'll lose because of it.

    Let go of the gen when you see the killer is about to hook someone.

    If you aren't blinded you can even wait untill the very last second

    That's the problem I do but my teammate never will it'll be about 95% done I know we won't be able to finish it in time because of how close the hook is so I let go and well no one else does.

    I can feel that...

    Nothing feels worse then you stop working on the gen squatting and clicking your flashlight at a teammate to just have them stop working on it just for them to completely ignore you and get DMSed

    If the stare of my survivor could kill nurse would look like ptb ghostface compared to me

    Pain Resonance and DMS is very balanced combo.

    Maybe you want the old Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer back ?

    Okay but that doesn't stop the gen from regressing. And if I touch it, then the Killer can push me off and block it. Basically it takes a gen completely out of play for 30 seconds if not more, if the Killer is good.

    dead mans isn't even that good now, it's only decent on very certain killers, doc, artist etc

    getting off the gen as you see the aura of getting hooked is not hard to do, then if you consider the 10-15 seconds it takes for the killer to actually get to the gen to actually push someone off the gen, then how it would take another 10-15 seconds for another survivor to even get to that gen, after the killer is no longer in the area, the gen is unblocked

    yeah it was a dumb change, but its not uncounterable

    let go of the gen when the survivors aura reappears being hooked, and get back on after the explosion

    the perk combo only really works when you dont know what to do against it, but they should just put pain res back to not kicking people off gens, and unnerf dms

    Disagree. DMS is the problem in the equation. If you get back on, then when the Killer inevitably comes to the gen, now it's blocked so they can go back to the hook and proxy camp. At least now it's only 30 seconds. Before you could push everyone off gens with Artist and boom, you have 45 seconds of nothing happening so you can camp.

    dms alone is a mediocre perk that only works well on certain killers. itd be like nerfing starstruck bc nurse uses it better than every other killer, or like how they nerfed awakened awareness bc of nurse (which was stupid).

    the issue is pain res + dms, not pain res alone, not dms alone. if you really think that dms alone is problematic, then that is a massive skill issue, and you should take time to improve at the game, instead of complaining about it

    honestly with the new change to DMS it made it allmost worthless to run by itself. and that in turn made the pain res combo much less effective especially since it can get countered

    Only thing I don't like is when I get a skill check the second someone's about to get hooked.

    I’ve had teammates that fall for PR EVERY. SINGLE. F’N. TIME. 🤬 I’m like you know he has it, so why the hell are you still on the gen when he’s hooking someone for the third time. And like clockwork, he runs straight towards our direction regardless if DMS is in play or not.

    That’s the most frustrating part- dodging PR, but getting forced off so DMS is activated.


    As annoying as PR & DMS is, I’m seeing another annoying combo making a VERY STRONG and even more annoying comeback: Plaything & Pentimento. Those two on any killer with other perks that force you to break Hex Totems are toothaches. Even with my Small Game/Counter Force builds, they are quite formidable and time wasters.
