How would you Nerf/Balance Nurse?

You haven’t answered the question.

What is the counter to old Dead Hard used for distance to a pallet/window for a standard M1 killer?
The counter was to get it nerfed. Mission accomplished.

You still haven’t answered the question. Are you going to or not?

Old Dead Hard was quite literally uncounterable when used for distance against most of the killers in this game save for a few/a few under specific circumstances. But guess that's inconvenient.

do you mean by 'fake blink'? do you mean looking down while blinking to stop short?

Wow! Was this patch 5.5.0? I went back and reread the entire patch notes, and it’s not even mentioned if that’s the patch you’re referring to (which it sounds like it is). Up to this point, I presumed it was an intentional feature. Had no idea it was considered a bug. Pretty good job so far.
I’ll update my prior post to correct it.

"Survivors had their turn, now its her turn."
Dude the goal is a balanced game, not some tit for tat bs. Remember when everyone was complaining about Deathslinger being completely OP and unfair to survivors? This is the same nurse you were facing back then, only now with more b**ching. She's just the "nerf this" survivor main flavor of the month ATM, in a day or so you'll all be asking for Wesker nerfs.
Or another way to put it, ever play Hunt:Showdown? A ways back they introduced a bow into the game, and within 24 hours the HS forums were filled with posts about how it was completely OP and needed to be nerfed. But it never was, it just seemed that way because everyone, including the best players was running around with one. And if all the best DBD killers start playing optimal Clown you'll be asking for Clown nerfs.
Play some killer and get a grip.

Imagine trying to play that on RPD or Lerys. Incidentally she did have an Iri add-on that had that exact effect before her add-on pass. No one ever used it because it made her completely useless.

I have no idea. I have never been able to replicate it when trying nurse, but hell knows I had it so often that people started a blink and somehow canceled it

The goal is to have a balanced game yes, but also for that balanced game to be fun and enjoyable. Thats the whole reason why patch 6.1.0 happened. It addressed the most common complaints from both sides. Also people weren't complaining that Deathslinger was OP, they were complaining that we was simply unfun because just his presence alone was enough to zone you, and you weren't going to react to something that had a 200ms animation. And no, its not just the "nerf this survivor main flavor of the month", Nurse has been an issue for as long as she's been in the game and this last developer update gave us a perfect example. Nerfing a mediocre perk for the entirety of the cast except for Nurse, and what do ya know? The perk gets nerfed. (Yes I'm talking about Awakened Awareness).
Yes I have played HS, not enough to give a ######### about balance I just like running around with a Bomb Lance and sticking unsuspecting people while taunting them in VC. I do remember when the bow was added and don't really remember having an issue with it. But it just goes to show that no matter what side you play or even what game you play, every one will think that something new is busted because they refuse to learn. Take Off the Record or Reassurance for example.
Also I played during the time when Clown got released, and yes people were calling for nerfs myself included because he was new, and they didn't know how to deal with him yet. Instead of nerfing him they buffed him, and pretty quickly the call for nerfs dwindled. You can see the same situation with every single killer out there, because I and many others loved to mistake 'Frustrating' with 'Overpowered'. This is something you still see people fall for to this day.
Also, yeah I never thought of playing killer mb, let me go do that real quick
I know, shocking right? A killer player who doesn't victimize himself. But it just looking for a good time

Dont make her blink a special attack it will just encourage nurses to run 4x slowdown perks since every single m1 basic attack perks is now null and void.
Do you want forever nurse this is exactly how we got forever freddy. I would personally reduce the effectiveness of aura reading perks on nurse. Yes it will also limit builds but it not half as brutal. But a nurse who can see you through walls is too much. Exposed isnt the issue its aura reading on a blinking killer.

Delete nurse already and lots of problems in DBD will be solved

..so?
Why does nurse get to be the best (OP) killer for 6+ years?
3 -
the ######### what you want to prove with that video? the nurse ######### up the survivor did absolutly nothing

Deathslinger was changed because the survivor literally had zero options against ADS-unADS spam into instant shot. Please actually learn what you’re talking about.
It’s embarrassing you still think best = OP. Also that you don’t see the nonsense in just making something a worse version of another thing instead of its own thing.
0 -
your victim complex is amazing, you know survivors also had nerfs right? keys, instaheals, dead hard, circle of healing etc op things dont have a place in this game anymore and nurse is an op character
0 -
all you were doing by ads spamming was slowing yourself down, a Survivor couldnt react to his ADS animation anyway so if they were attempting to dodge they were just slowing themselves down as well.
Also please, go annoy some one else.
0 -
Can you please learn what you’re talking about? The reason the ADS spam into instant shot was busted was because it means anything a survivor might use in response to a potential shot is effectively made useless because a shot can be faked over and over. Eg, Dead Hard, trying to dodge behind/duck behind cover and losing distance, etc. Instant ADS alone is already unhealthy because it’s unreactable, ADS spam nullifies even any predictive escape attempts (eg, playing around Deathslinger being likely to try and shoot when you come near a pallet/window)
If you don’t want nonsense to be pointed out, don’t post on a public forum?

"The reason the ADS spam into instant shot was busted was bceause it means anything a survivor might use in response to a potential shot is effectively made useless because a shot can be faked over and over. Eg, Dead Hard, trying to dodge/duck behind cover and losing distance, etc."
Whats the difference between that and the Deathslinger literally just marching towards the Survivor? You even mention that it was instant ADS yourself. Why try to force a reaction when the shot is already unreactable??
0 -
Because getting rid of all predictive options means they have nothing left they could even chance a success on, and if they try to duck and weave side to side, they lose a lot more distance than you do?
0 -
tf you mean getting rid of all predictive options?? just marching towards the Survivor had the same effect
Make it make sense man

That's not what 'OP' being in parenthesis means.
I was not saying that best = OP even though in this case yes, Nurse who is the best killer is also the most OP character in the game.
I don't care what they do with nurse at this point, as long as they do something soon. Tired of going up against a Dead man's pain resonance nurse spamming her best addons and having nurse players pretend like the bug fix to her purple range addon makes her fine.
0 -
DMS+PR is its own issue.
Range addons are dumb and need a rework regardless of speed being removed, same with 3 blinks.
Basekit Nurse is perfectly fine.
0 -
yes they can. if nurse messes up then she's screwed as well especially on certain maps where she can't teleport through a lot of objects even if she has range addons. doctor makes a lot of strong pallets and windows useless if you are close to a survivor and use the power right. as for pyramidhead, it's all about prediction and you just described bad pyramidhead mains. it's useless to duck behind low obstacles because he can shoot a survivors through a lot of obstacles on the open field. he doesn't need to wait for it to break if he goes in the opposite direction while reeling a survivor. his stun is almost non existent.
1 -
I'm not debating "if the nurse screws up" in this spot. A good Nurse with line of sight on you isn't going to screw up often and there aren't many bugged low obstacles that Nurses can't blink through.
The Nurse has the best opportunity to get a quick hit/down in these spots. A Doctor at his fastest is still going to take twice as long to get that hit, especially if the survivor predrops a pallet. Pyramid and Huntress have similar opportunities, but Slinger can't compete. He has to reel or eat a stun.
Don't believe me? Go break out a stop watch and actually test it.
0 -
it's mutual. a lot of good killers with line of sight on you won't screw up either. there are on lery's, rpd, badham preeschool, haddonfield, autohaven wreckers etc, etc. unless a survivor predicts her blink. as for doctor, you need to know tiles to not let survivors pre drop pallets and there were a lot of 1v1 tournaments where good doctors catched survivors faster than good nurses. slinger can because his hitbox let him catch a survivor at a place where huntress can't. not to mention predroping is useless against pyramid and anna. he has to go through those things only at safe tiles.
