DEVs Need to do something FAST ... Goodbye and Good Riddance
I've been playing DBD since it first came out. Like you, it has been my "Go To" game for most of that time. It has had issues all along. But since the update/overhaul it is completely broken, heavily in favour of the Killer. I don't care what anyone says, if you are having ANY trouble playing killer then the problem is you. To top it off the Toxic camping and tunnelling by Killers seems to have gotten worse. I am 100% positive that part of the problem is that Survivor mains are quitting the game in droves and Killer mains, that play with skill, are leaving due to a lack of challenge, I am sad to say I will no longer be playing the game and I will NOT ever be back
The big new update/overhaul has made the game completely unplayable as a Survivor anymore. Since the update, as killer, I have only had 1 match where 1 survivor escaped and 1 match where 3 escaped. The other 98% has been easy 4k's. Half of those had either only 1 gen completed or none at all. Playing survivor on the other hand, I have only had a handful of games where anyone escapes at all.
If the game was in this state at original release it never would have gained ANY fan-base at all. The problems are so numerous I honestly cannot see how the game can be fixed without prolonged suffering to players. Good Luck to those that stick it out longer. It is going to be a painful and/or pathetic ride.

"since the update/overhaul it is completely broken, heavily in favour of the Killer"
When i past killers complained do you know what survs said? GIT GUD!
"I don't care what anyone says, if you are having ANY trouble playing killer then the problem is you."
Meaning of this: "My opinion is better than yours"

It is easier to kill now, it is true, but only because 90% of the playerbase still arent' accostumed to loop without DH. That's it. You can't imagine how many wounded and downs i get by survs that were too accustumed to have a protection they do not have anymore and take risks they can't handle.
Or survivor dead on hooks because the mates do not want to interrupt gens because they keep having the idea that gens must be completed before a save. Idea that probably was true on 80 seconds gens but on 90 seconds gen make a lot of survs die on the hook or the saving process much more difficult.

You played since release, so you must know what ridiculous stuff survivors would do and killers had to live through this hellhole for months or years (fast vaults from every direction, mid-chase heals, BNP, insta blind, insta heal, sabo....). This whole update seems like something similar but for killer. Like a late Karma.
But that doesn't mean that it should be like that. No. Today's DBD should not be this insane.
PS: I think many survivor mains are just mad, that they can't use DH anymore.

That was the best right after the update. All the E users tied to still smash E for distance and I was rewarded with their superman animation and a down.
I never really used any Exhaustion perks so I was fine in that regard. As a Jeff Main I have bean a heavy Iron Will user, but I dropped that in favor for SB, because I finally felt the need of having an Exhaustion perk. My loop mentality is still the same (safety first), the only thing I needed to get used to was the shorter boost you get after being hit.

Yeah I am well aware of all the issues that have been around in the past. Like I have said I play both sides. Until now I've just lived with the minor issues. They are NOT minor anymore. It's not Karma when the issue is with the mechanics. At times the Killers had it rough and it needed to be fixed. But it's not the survivors that program the game.Pitting Killer main's VS. Survivor main's is just silly.
The problem has always been the focus on new content over fixing mechanics as they stand.
P.S. I've never used DH in any build. I don't personally like it

Like I said in another reply. I never used DH personally. I just didn't like it.

Me too. Iron will /spine chill user here. Got hurt hard by those nerfs.
But now i use resolution, lucky break and 2 other perks that grants me the ability to heal.

My original build for the last 3 years was IW, Spine Chill, Kindred and DS. After the update I first tried Prove, OTR, Kindred and IW but that wasn't so satisfying. Prove got rarely used (somehow I always worked solo on a Gen) and therefore I changed that to CoH. Since people were rarely tunneling in the beginning and the Gen kicking meta was getting on my nerves, I then changed OTR to Repressed Alliance. That worked sometimes but it felt wrong. Then people started to tunnel more and I realized that I needed an Exhaustion perk and something for the endgame. So OTR again, SB instead of IW and Adre for CoH. Finally I was so pissed by campers that I switched Kindred with Deliverance. And it works quite well.
Short: Deliverance, Adre, SB and OTR

If you've played since release you would know that killer was never powerful up until this point
you would know all the difficulties and multiple stacked mechanics that killer would have to work against just to stand a chance to kill.
You would remember instant gens
you would remember instant heals
you would remember true infinite loops
you would realize that the absence of these things is a net positive to the game, not a negative.
You would know how powerful survivors still are, and that you, in your biased state, are willingly ignoring that survivors can not only still stand a chance, but thrive.
You are being purposely ignorant in another common, repeated, and overkilled attempt at bashing the update that is in pursuit of a healthier and more balanced game.
I wish you well on your way out, as you seem to not understand the intricacies of this game at all despite the 6 years of gameplay, apparently.

You make a LOT of assumptions and not one of them is accurate. Of course I remember that it has been unbalanced all along. I said that it has always had problems and the biggest one is the focus on releasing new content or this last complete puddle of drool called an update. A broken game is a broken game. It shouldn't be a see saw of broken one way then the other. The people who played survivor weren't to blame for the bad game design.
NO survivors are NOT still powerful. If you believe that you are either delusional or a complete idiot. I can get 4k's as a killer without breaking a sweat now. ANY killer.
YOU are the one being ignorant cause everything you've said is a mound of steaming dung. Spare us any more dribble LMAO

I am 100% positive that part of the problem is that Survivor mains are quitting the game in droves
There's no sign survivors are "quitting in droves". The player counts are actually pretty stable.

people are still playing there just playing alot less

The game got adjusted this patch to make it less abusive as survivor when playing Solo Queue. They still have not adjusted SWF - in fact SWF is easier after this last patch because the instant regression perks got obliterated.

The number of concurrent players is pretty stable at the moment at about 36k on Steam Charts, people aren't playing less. I don't know how many people if any have shifted from playing one side to the other but the total number of people isn't changing much either way.

the number of simultaneous or avg players may not have varied much, but without a doubt that on one side has increased exponentially. And you can see this not only because of the waiting time for matchs, but also because of the benefits that are active almost all day to one side.

Like I said, you could be right about people switching sides, I have no good data on that either way. (Yeah there's anecdotes about queue times being longer or incentives being more on survivors than killers but I don't have any actual data to go by, just word of mouth.) My post though was correcting someone else who specifically claimed that "people are playing a lot less", as in fewer total players.
