Killer Concept: The Stranger, a completely silent killer.

The Stranger is a silent killer with unknown intentions. His power, Silent Waltz, allows him to sneak up on unobservant survivors. His perks, Social Outcast, Unknown Intent, and Silent Night, futher aid in stealth.

Appearance:

He looks like what comes to mind when you think of mugger. Grey hoodie, sweat pants, gloves, boots, body covered from head to toe, face completely obscured by darkness, and brandishing an extremely stereotypical pocket knife. Whenever the hood is down, his entire head is completely obscured by darkness. He also makes no noises besides footsteps.

Backstory:

A stranger walks down an alley. Unknown intentions, unknown goals, a social outcast, he walks. Eventually he walks through fog, never seen again.

Backstory And Appearance Explanation:

I intentionally left the backstory very brief, with little detail. After all, with strangers, you don't really know what they're doing and why. Same goes for the killer's design. Mysterious, with you seeing none of the person beneath the hood. His goals and motives are unknown.

Power: Silent Waltz

You are silent and unknownable. You gain the undetectable status effect. You can also crouch by holding M2 and vault pallets. You are slower when crouching.

How It'd Work In Theory:

The entire point is to sneak up on survivors. No fancy gimmick like Myers or Ghostface. The counter play is rather simple. Be observant, listen for the killer's footsteps, and avoid working on gems in areas where the killer could easily rush up and grab/attack you before you can react. As long as you play it safe and cautious, you should be okay. Vaulting pallets is simply so the killer have something to aid them in chase. Cause y'know, many killers struggle simply because they don't have anything in their power that aids them in looping.

Stats:

Size: Medium

Height: 190 cm

Terror Radius: 0 m

Speed: 110%

Perks:

Social Outcast:

Rejected by society, you watch from afar. Whenever 2 or more survivors find eachother, they have their auras revealed for 1/3/5 seconds. This perk has a 15/10/5 second cooldown.

Unknown Intent:

They don't know the reason behind what you do, **blind** to it as a matter of fact. Survivors suffer from blindness for 30/45/60 seconds after being hit by a basic attack.

Silent Night:

The night is silent and dark. When the exit gates are powered, the survivors are thrown into total darkness for 60/90/120 seconds.

Addons:

Broken Flashlight (brown): A flashlight with a broken light bulb. You are no longer undetectable and have a terror radius of 20 meters. Gain 100% more blood points.

Scuffed Boots (brown): A pair of worn and dirty boots. Decreases the noise of footsteps by 5%.

Magnifying Glass (yellow): A simple magnifying glass. Survivors' scratch marks change color depending on how recent they are. Blue being older than 7 seconds, green being more than 5 but less than anything over 7, yellow being recent but older than 3 seconds, and normal color being less than 3 seconds old.

Old Hoodie (yellow): An old hoodie with holes in it. Increases crouch speed by 5%.

Bloody Cloth (green): A white cloth covered in blood. Blood puddles are 25% more visible.

Rubber Boots (green): A pair of rubber boots. Decreases the noise of footsteps by 10%.

Leather Hoodie (green): A leather hoodie. Increases crouch speed by 10%.

Wood Shard (purple): A shard of a wooden pallet. Increases the speed at which you vault pallets by 15%.

Black Hoodie (purple): A black hoodie. Increases crouch speed by 15%.

Steel Toed Boots (purple): A pair of steel toed boots. Decreases the noise of footsteps by 15%.

Iridescent Pocket Knife (pink): A glistening pocket knife. Whenever you hit a survivor while they are working on an objective, whether it be cleansing a totem, repairing a generator, sabotaging a hook, etc, they receive the broken status effect for 60 seconds.

Broken Hook (pink): A broken hook that is typically used to hook survivors. Whenever you grab a survivor, every other survivor within a 30 meter radius is exposed for 60 seconds.

He would be way to strong on indoor maps and way to useless on open maps.

Ever played against a Hit'n Run Ghostface on Lery's? That's be similiar to that, just stronger as he would always be Undetectable. It would be like a Scratched Mirror Myers, but with more speed, normal lunge and a ?pallet vault?

Also, Silent Night just gives the Killer Dredge's Ability now?

Fair point. As for silent night, not really. You gain nothing besides the darkness. It's just an endgame perk to help gain a comeback.

    So Legion with no sound?

While I do love the concept of an "everyday killer", nothing fancy, just the guy that could be living in the next street over, it feels way too strong to me for the guy to always be silent. The counterplay of "not working in a place that could get you easily grabbed" is inexistent, because that removes a lot of the possible gens, especially in indoor maps or maps with gens inside houses like Haddonfield or Badham.

The reason why it works for Myers and Ghostface is that when they're silent, they lose time stalking in the survivor's pov. So survivors get a chance to counter it if they're paying attention, by revealing them/leaving. This guy could just arrive with his permanent Tinkerer and bonk people. Plus plenty of 110% killers don't have anything to help then with loops, so it wouldn't make sense for him to have vaulting pallets as base kit (for contrast, Legion has to be using their power to vault).

(Though I would love it if my Hag could vault !)

Also, like someone above said, it really sounds like the Legion the trailer was advertising (no terror radius, possible to mistake him for a survivor). Which I love, obviously ! :D

So all in all, I could imagine a killer of this concept with a smaller terror radius (that could be made even smaller with a perk like Monitor and Abuse), but no TR at all, constantly, is a big no no for me.

I mean how'd you rework the power. Also, as stated before, I just gave the vault pallet ability out of fear of being too weak in chase.

Wait forgot to point out that he does make footsteps. Which you can listen out for.
