Make gens take 120 seconds solo
Then make it efficient for survivors to group on gens. It should be more effectent for survivors to group up and do there objective together. 120 is just a big number it could be shorter or longer. I dont get why it's more efficient for the team to spit up and not be a team. One of the biggest problems imo I that it's better to work alone most the game then it is to be a team. I think they would need to add a basekit bond to help with solo.

Because solo teammates are unpredictable and it would be a nightmare if you depended on them more than you already do.

Killers have access to a perk which notifies them when 2 or more survivors are on a gen.

If they make gens 120 secs I will just stop playing survivor (I'm a solo survivor player), even if you give solo survivors bond that doesn't mean they are going to play as a team.
The amount of times I have seen survivors ignore each other and objectives is astounding.

This idea is terrible.
Working on a gen with other survivors should not be made more efficient working on a gen solo. You already get more BP working on a gen with other survivors and while it's not as efficient the gen still gets done faster which can be useful for getting a highly contestable center gen done and break up an endgame 3 gen. It doesn't also need to be more efficient.
Survivors working on gens together are already hard to defend as it is due to how fast gens can get done if survivors work on a single gen together. The main trade off is that it's less efficient for survivors to stack.

Then group up and get some friends/good players to play with. Solo players are a nightmare in every single video game that relies on teamplay whether it's 5v5 or 1v4.

One of the quotes for this game is "survive together or not" so calling it a team based format is incorrect especially with them having perks meant for playing solo and being the last survivor

This would just effectively make Discordance meta and just entice people to run all slowdown builds because people would team up for generators giving the Killer free localisation. Terrible idea.

You keep the baseline at two survivors on a gen. You can also make them go faster the more survivors that are dead.

That's a really warped take on this idea.
120 seconds base would mean that even with faster co-op speeds, gens would probably still take longer than they currently do.
This would be a fantastic change for killers, but there's two reasons it can't be implemented. And that's camping and tunneling. Currently, the fastest way for survivors to do gens is to split up on them. This is also the safest way to do them, as it's the hardest to pressure.
Inverting solo and co-op speeds would push survivors into grouping up, increasing efficiency of killer pressure and massively increasing pressure from hooking a survivor. That last one is why it can't be done. It'd make camping and tunneling even more op than they already are.

Your assuming that they wouldn't change anything else like adding a cooldown to Discordance. Plus wouldn't that make killers leave the hook or abandon chase more because they know they need to defend x gen?

Camping is totally on the survivors for feeding it 99% of the time. I just had a match where wesker was camping and I had reassurance but my teammates still had to go unhook instead of doing gen with the extra time. They are currently trying to phase both those strategies out of the game. As I said 120 was just a big number for the sake of the thread. See the current problem is the killer can only be in one place at a time while the survivors can be at 4 different places. This mixed with the most efficient way to do the objective is solo means that if the killer can't start a snowball they can't control the match. Many maps have really bad gen spread for killers making it impossible to pressure gens with spit survivors and BHVR clearly doesn't plan on improving map design so core gameplay needs to be mixed up. It's just my opinion though.

Thats kind of the idea if it's more efficient for survivors to group up then the killer knows he's more likely to run into multiple survivors when pressuring gens. Of course thing would need to be tweaked and 120 isn't a hard number more like a place holder for the conversion.

That argument is bull, since any killer sufficiently bad at the game will continue to employ it, no matter how easy the game is made for them.
If someone else isn't getting the unhook, you have to. Solos can't communicate, which is why survivors 'feed it'.
I myself suggested what you're going for here, but I mentioned then, as it continues to hold true now: camping and tunneling make this thing a pipe dream.
And BHVR aren't getting rid of camping and tunneling, they've been buffing it a ton lately.

So tunnel one of the survivors and get easy win every match. Because whenever they are 3 v 1, it will be so hard to stay group. And if they repair gens alone, it will take 120 seconds.
Survivors will be stay as group, so this mean killer has less area to patrol. Killers can easy pressure on survivors because only 2 gens are repairing at start for the worst scenario. Discordance will be meta ofcourse after that.
Killers still have their anti-gen meta perks and they will bring them as well. They are stackable and with 120 seconds gen times, good luck to power the gates.
Kill rates probably will up to 99%, hatch still exists at least

Well, fortunately “bad killers” are a minority according to this forum so camping/stacked slowdown/tunneling won’t really be much an issue. Exploitation will happen, of course, but it’s going to be rare.
Don’t you think if gens took 120+ seconds that killers could have a little more fun with chasing survivors & such? Maybe each time a survivor dies repair time reduces by 10 seconds individually, so when there is one survivor left it only takes them around 90 seconds to complete a generator. It’s fair because technically if there is one survivor remaining they shouldn’t really be focused on completing generators. And the killer has essentially won the game anyway.

Considering the kill rates are already at over 60%, bumping repair times by freaking 33% is probably going to kill the game.
And then when someone complains about camping, you'll be right there going 'Maybe killers would camp less if gens were 150 seconds!'
Stop using it as your beatstick. I'm tired of the 'nerf survivors or else I'll camp!' motto of these forums.

My teammates knew they had been reassurance because the survivor turns white plus after the first time they seen it they knew but keep rushing the hook giving free downs.

Because right now prove thyself makes gens around 45 seconds and on alot of maps the killer can't pressure gens fast enough on top of 2 other people doing gens if your not in chase. If gens solo take longer but together there 60 seconds it wouldn't just break gen times.
Imagine if you had to heal yourself and it could take anywhere from 9 seconds to 32 seconds and you had no way to tell untell it was to late thats how gen speeds are currently. You leave a gen and think ok I got 90 seconds tell its done then 45 seconds later it's done.

People have claimed that one change or another would ‘kill the game’ for years, Firellius. Enough with the doomerism. Even if 120 second gen repair times turned people off from playing survivor, so much the better. The devs are introducing bots to help killers continue to have fun.

You know that 60% isn't even a 3k average? It's around 2.5k and considering how many people I've seen kill themselves on first hook and a new killer survivors have to learn to play against a 2 5k average isn't that bad.

Right now survivors have a choice to make
Focus on one gen as a team, increasing the chance it can get done before the killer can regress it - though it's also an 'all the eggs in one basket approach'. Also be close to each other for support if the killer comes. On the other hand, increase the risk of getting 3 gen.
Spread out, maximizing the amount of gens that get done, but increasing the risk the gen doesn't actually get finished. Also if you are caught by the killer and hooked, at least one other survivor has to waste time to get to you.
Any mix of the above.
There are merits to each of the approaches. You want to make one approach the clear superior option.

It does, or it has? How could they measure that? When did they ever tell us that? Gen slowdown stacking is still the best thing to bring, it's just different perks now. Ruindyingtinkeresonance is now call of brine eruption pain resonance.

I will give you same kind of proposition. Make gen times 50 seconds (give or take), but survivors can't coop. It shouldn't be survivor's buff right? Because it's same-kind of change as your proposition. And of course I am killer main and never play soloQ ;) Believe me. It's true. Really. I swear! It might be because it's a serious issue that spoils the game. Or that it's unfair and every killer playes like that. Or that the game has become super unfair recently and many survivor-mains felt they need to voice there opinion. Pick your choise
