Orange glyph is the worst and most unfun experience this game has.
I don't think I need to elaborate.
The game wasn't enjoyable already, but with stuns and kicking animations that take eternity, I just want to alt+f4 every time I have to deal with it and I no longer combat that desire.

I did this challenge in one attempt with EndFury Hillbilly. Didn’t even know the downside until halfway through the match cause I break pallets with the saw.
Demogorgon and Iri Mastermind could be good alternatives as well.

I just did the challenge with Nurse since she's rarely pallet stunned and doesn't need to break anything. The most punishing aspect for her is the missed hit cooldown.

What's the orange glyph challenge?

a glyph which heavily nerfs you and that requires you to get 6 hooks to beat it.
I noticed heavily increased stuns & kicking durations, probably attack recovery is increased too.

I did the orange glyph challenge with Nurse and didn't even know what its drawback was until I read this thread

The worst and most unfun experience this game has? Have you even played solo survivor?
Yeah, orange glyph is a bit annoying, but it's only as detrimental to your gameplay as... any number of survivor challenges. People only notice orange glyphs because most killer challenges just tell them to play the game normally.
Meanwhile, I'd hardly call a 30% increased stun as unfun as dealing with a double locker squad, or getting facecamped by Bubba, or bled out for no especial reason, or getting trapped in the game by a cheater. The game has much, much worse to offer. I'd suggest bringing Enduring or a killer that generally ignores pallets, like Huntress or Nurse.

First try with Billy, was super-easy.

Exactly this. Most Killer Challenges are just "play the game". And the one time a Killer Challenge actually affects the Killer gameplay, the complaints start.

I did this in one go when playing Nemesis, and honestly didn't notice the drawbacks. I ended up with a 4k, just because the Survs made a crap ton of mistakes as the match went on.

I was expecting way worse than what it ended up being. I got it second try (I would have gotten it on first try, but got 2 DCs on their respective first downs. Versus a no add on Doctor. On Eyrie.).
It's annoying for sure, but wasn't challenging, really. Didn't do anything special.

I got lucky and did it on first try in RPD. I think I got six hooks exactly in the whole match. That said, it wasn't fun, and it's a toss-up for me between Orange and Purple to see which is the worst glyph. On the bigger maps, I can literally spend all match trying to chase the Purple ones.

To be fair, blue survivor glyphs make you oblivious or blind, and being oblivious can get you killed fast against certain killers.
There's also white glyphs, which ask you to waste a big chunk of time and take a potentially game changing risk by entering basement.
Orange glyph sucked, but I enjoyed handicapping myself and having a harder match. Got it first try.

The weird part is, this changed over the last few tomes. I've gone back into the archives to do a lot of the older tomes and it was the exact polar opposite. Survivor challenges were do gens, heal teammates, unhook safely, etc. Killer challenges were like sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement in one match, interrupt and grab someone off a gen after blinking 3 times, crossmap someone with a hatchet 3 times in a match, etc.
I get the pickle BHVR is in though, because achievements tend to be either in the "you get them for free" category or the "you throw the match trying to get them" category. It's really hard to make a fun challenge that you have to put a bit of extra effort into, but don't have to throw the match to get.

play blight with unrelenting and enduring and you will not notice it at all

Got it on first trial using Wraith and throwing Brute Strength perk into my build. Run speed to catch up, and the perk compensates for most of the time lost otherwise breaking a pallet.
I liked the original version of the Orange Glyph so much better. Though I do understand the effect was causing players to become ill, and needed to be changed.
