Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

Tbh, DS is trash now

I understand it was a very powerful perk, yet the -2 second nerf on the stun was way too brutal. Its almost impossible to use and actually get away most of the time. PLUS it doesn't work with smash hit anymore. If you're gonna nerf the stun at least make it work with smash hit. Its there to counter tunneling and deactivates when exit gates are powered anyways.

Yeah dude, let killer watch his arm for 5 seconds + 2 seconds of pallet stun into a blind.

Many people were forcing the DS anyway.

I think BHVR just needs to fix the animation so the survivors gets off the killer's back quicker. 5 second stun just feels absurd in my opinion, but the way DS currently is, you do not many any meaningful distance to put yourself in a good position after using DS. Giving the survivor more time through fixing the animation, or even giving a 10% Haste effect on top of it, might be the perfect balancing area for it imo.

The only reason why 5 seconds DH existed early on in DbD was because of Enduring affecting the stun duration of perks. BHVR stated that they would change it to 3 seconds and would nerf Enduring accordingly in one of their streams I believe, but they kind of slept on changing it back to 3 seconds for a really long time and never bothered to fix the dropping animation as well.

DS can be used to reset deep wounds as a psuedo way to endurance stack

Well no one, even killer, did ask for this nerf in the first place (with maybe one or two extremistic exceptions).

    Same with the bloodlust buff.

Those are things bhvr did on their own and I don't think they will take them out again even when it is easy to revert.

Now it just depends WHERE you got the DS.

Most of the time you'll still make it to the closest pallet or window, unless you're in a deadzone.

DS nerf is to force players to use other perks, just like Ruin. But the most scary thing is with UB basekit, DS has no right to get buffed back.

Yeah, it's rubbish now. I DS'd a Wesker the other day and he was able to pretty much down me within seconds again. It's basically the same as a pallet stun but without the distance made by the killer breaking the pallet. I think it should be buffed to 4 seconds - admittedly, the original 5-second stun was maybe a little too harsh, but 3 seconds is nothing, really.

I agree. It's fine being disabled at end game. But the five second stun needs to come back because three seconds is worthless. Even M1 killers laugh it off.

I agree that 3 seconds is too weak.

We should test these details of the perk for each PTB. I would like to see 4 seconds tested.

No real difference from before if you're close enough to a window or pallet.

I have no objection to it working with smash hit though.
