Can we hide prestige levels until after the match?
Level 50 Jill Valentine here, constantly getting dodged, I’m typing this after waiting through 12 dodging killers.

No, i hope not. I am dodging survivors when they have low level prestiges. So i don't have to play with baby survivors

It is matchmaking issue, i don't know why baby survivors are playing with veterans. There should be 200 hours cap and people below this, should not be part of MMR matchmaking.

There's no way to know if they're "baby survivors" though. Playing killer the other day, one of the survivors switched characters with about 20 seconds or so left on the timer from a Prestige level 3 Jill to a Prestige 54 level Nea. Did they suddenly get better when they changed characters? (For the record, the Nea was by FAR the best player on her team -- though as a counter to that, I've played against Prestige level players 25 and higher who played like they'd installed the game yesterday, so that can be a two-way street).
Seeing the prestige of your teammates (as survivor) or as killer is completely unnecessary. It leads to people making potentially inaccurate assumptions about the people they're playing with and against -- and everyone should know by now the saying about assuming.

I really don’t know what else to say besides yikes? Maybe they’re leveling a survivor they dont play?
All I want is just lobby shoppers to take an L so I don’t have to wait through 10+ dodgers to get a match (currently at 20, and counting)

If MMR worked maybe. They really need to expand the upper ranges of MMR. It apparently keeps counting but rounds down to some point. I have <300 hours and I see prestige 25, 30 some and once a 100. That really should not be the case I'm hella stinky at the game guys. I main Deathslinger for Christ's sake. I don't dodge lobbies often but if I'm playing to get my rank up before the reset you bet I ain't messin' with a prestige 50 Jill. There is an easy fix. Just queue up with a character you have low prestige with and switch to Jill at 6 seconds.
I think they should do the opposite really. They should show rank in the lobby and MMR should be visible again.

I dunno what people refer to as "baby" but rn I'm prestige 1-ing every character. Between killer and survivor I have over 23 prestige levels and could have just invested that all into one survivor. If the level 27 prestiges I keep playing with only have a few other survivors prestige at ALL I'm not far behind.
I assume there is people who prestige their favorite character mainly, and they just got survivors with meta teachables to level 1 and just keep goin'.

An hour cap would mean hour long queue times in the deadzones between chapters where there's not a lot of new players to the game.

I wouldn't know but I believe it. The old rank system was very different though. It wasn't just removing the ranks as something that can be seen that was changed.

Yeah hide it until after match, some people (not everyone of course) dodge both low and high prestige levels in the lobby and it takes ages to get into a match because of it

I’m just a p19 on my yoichi(working to 100) and I already get so many killers dodging the lobby and I have gotten two killers that told me they tunneled me out because of my plvl.

We have no right to complain about the matchmaking being "bad" when we also dodge lobbies for whatever reason.
The current system gets one and only one shot at a fair-ish match, which is immediately borked whenever anyone dodges, in either role, because the backfill is pulled from the pile and queue times are now prioritized over fair.
And most of y'all know this is how it works. We are doing it to ourselves fam.

I'm sorry for you. I have over 5.3k hrs (public profile too) and my Jeff is on P34 (he would be higher but i also invested a ton of BP into Wesker). And I get also dodged a lot of times. Either because of my playtime or because of my Main's prestige.
I only dodged a P77 Nea once because I faced her and her team a day before and I did not have the nerve to face their annoying playstyle again.

I know that feeling. Sometimes I think people just hate me because I'm a P34 Jeff with 5.3k hrs. Or because they think they are so good if they facecamp me for no reason.
I can only think that if I didn't invest a ton of BP into Wesker (P16 right now) and put both Ada and Rebeca on P6 for their bloody cosmetics, my Jeff would be..... idk P50 or something. I have seen people with less hours and skill have higher prestiges. It just shows who your main is or who you don't main. Nothing more. People finally need to get this.
