REMOVE THE AUTO AIM
This is something many in the community have asked for for so ######### long, and I'm sick and tired of simply tapping M1 and my character attacks the air instead of hitting the person who is within sniffing distance.

unfortunately that would be a good change, and that is against bhvrs terms of service

I'd love to see a test weekend where it's disabled, like the bloodlust test they did however long ago that was.
Maybe the aim dressing actually is helping invisibly in a lot of areas we just don't notice, but I doubt it. It really seems like it does far more harm than good.

I don't see the problem reported here.
If you stuck the survivor, he is hit.
If another survivor comes for Body block, you hit them first.
You don't have to hit from a distance if you need to get close.
Problem solved

That's because you're not understanding the problem.
Aim dressing regularly makes killers smack corners, window sills, and more.

I love when you have to hit the survivor when you turn a corner, but the game says: No, you are smashing your weapon against the corner instead of the survivor right in front of you.

I think it helps on console but sometimes it fails you. Question is does it help more than it does harm? I think it should be stronger on console and made better and you should be able to adjust it. Pc does not really need it though.

I was thinking the same thing, it’s certainly possible that when the aim dressing actually works properly it’s something the killer never notices because it looks like a normal hit where if the feature was disabled it might not. And it’s not clear that aim dressing is actually causing misses, it may just occasionally be taking attacks that did in fact miss but is redirecting them to hit nearby objects instead.
Really the only way to know for sure would be to disable it for a bit and see what happens. 🤷♂️ Short of that it’s all speculation.

As both survivor and killer I know this mechanics create hits that should have never happened that way.
As a killer the game decides to stuck you to loop instead of survivor in front of you. As a survivor - and this is just best example and it does not limit to this case only - you can get hit by nurse with her back if she tries to use her power mid-blink (survivor is locked before the hit starts and she can hit him even if she overblinks).
The mechanics should go. Give us real hits & misses they way they truly happen.

Agreed.

The problem with auto aim is more then just with bodyblocking I've had many, many times where I would've hit a survivor rounding a corner but then auto aim drags the hit into the wall.
