Killers and Survivors should have unique things they can do in their home maps.
For example.
Michael Myers on his map, Lampkin Lane. If Myers goes to his home, and if he stands in the window of his house looking down into the street, and looks out the window and has line of sight on a Survivor for 5 seconds, that Survivor gets "Hunted" debuff and that Survivor's aura is revealed to Myers for the next 40 seconds. This can only happen in Myers' map. This creates a really creepy scenario where survivors look up at the window and see Myers looking at them just like in the movies, and then now they are being hunted for real and are horrified and gotta run for the next 40 seconds. And it's completely optional if the Killer wants to do this or not.
You can do this sort of thing with all the Killers on their home map, and maybe even Survivors get something when playing on their home map.

A lot of the survivors don't have home maps. Maybe just the licensed ones but the orginal ones don't.

Only one of the OG survivors has home turf, and many killers don't, either. Off the top of my head: Ghostface, Bubba, Blight, Twins, Trickster, Pinhead, Onryo, and Demo (RIP) don't have associated maps. Of the survivors, only Laurie, Quentin, Jeff, Cheryl, Jill, Leon, Ada, Rebecca, and maybe Jonah and Haddie have maps that have anything to do with them at all.
I wouldn't have an issue with this feature, but if it provides a significant buff, then it becomes kinda unfair that some characters are excluded from it immediately. Other times it gets a bit awkward because your home map might be really good or really bad, and you're better or worse off because of that. Deathslinger, Oni, and Billy are happy to play on their home turf; Freddy, Hag, and Pig aren't.

I'd prefer if it was more of an easter egg.
For Myers in Haddonfield, if survivors maintain line of sight on Micheal they'll hear those piano notes from the trailer.
The statues in sanctum of wrath would get red glowing eyes when Oni activates his power.
The television screens in the game map would show a survivor interacting with a jigsaw box anywhere on the map.

Interesting concept, it couldn't be anything too op but little Easter eggs would be cool!

Most killers already have a special interaction with their home maps.
The map is explicitly bad for the killer it is the home of.
