Boil Over Abuse

I see someone using Boil Over practically every match. Some survivors even bring offerings (mostly Eyrie because it's a guaranteed map with an annoying 2-story building). They just do generators around the main building and run for its top floor whenever they're in a chase. Some just stay up there for prolonged periods and grief their team mates (by not doing any objectives). Having hooks spawn on the bottom floor or around the building doesn't cut it. The strong struggle effect can throw you off of stairs or catwalks. The fact that you can't walk in a straight line makes you take longer to get to a hook; 1 protection hit and they're off your shoulder. You have a choice of either downing them and leaving or leaving the chase because it's not worth the time and risk of being unable to hook them. Remove the 33% penalty for dropping. I'm tired of slugging griefing survivors.

Iron grasp reduces the struggle effect, and you can pair it with agitation if you want to get to the hook faster if that helps. There is usually always a hook or 2 upstairs in Eyrie and one on the corner if there isn't a basement downstairs too.

What I do is look for hooks as I chase and remember where they were.

learning maps and their hook spawns will help you a lot, maybe run agi if its really that common and not an exaggeration.

obv you can bleed them out, thats not as fun but you know theyre having 20x less fun so its fine

also steer with your mouse, not with a and d. a and d youll still get moved by wiggling, even more with boil over, but if you use your mouse to steer instead, you can make boil over do nothing but hide hooks, which learning hook spawns solves

so yeah, learn hook spawns, avoid struggle effects with your mouse instead of a and d, and bleed out people who are unhookable

There are so many counters to the perk. Just let the survivor drop (not with you on the shoulder) to wiggle free from height - stagger will make him be in very short distance from you for very easy re-down on flat floor.

Moving to sides does nothing if you are not in lery's or other indoor map/going thru doors.

The only real effect is hiden aura of close-by hook. So once you become a little observant, you will understand that the perk makes almost totally (you can still get stuck on a doors sometimes if you don't take care enough) 0 difference ever.

    1. You dont know what the survivors bring into the trial.
    2. You are bringing 2 killer perks to counter 1 survivor perk.

Not really, agitation or iron grasp is commonly paired with scourge hooks... lol so it can compliment a meta build quite well.
