PS4 - "Hide your name" privacy option doesn't hide your name in the friends' list

Platform: PS4

Issue: When you turn on the "Hide your name" privacy option, in your lobby your name is replaced by "You" and in the tally screen you show your character's name, BUT in the friends' list you appear regularly, even if you set "offline" in the PS4 settings, so the others know you are playing Dead by Daylight and which place you are in (menu, lobby, game). I tested it a lot of times with different people.

    This is not a bug as far as I'm aware, this is by design...as it's not Anonymous Mode which hides your name fully.

    @Mandy The

    attachment says something else: "e sarà completamente nascosto nell'elenco degli amici" means "and it will be completely hidden in the friends' list".

    Aside the plain text, there are constitutional issues if you prevent players from hiding what they do inside their private home: to be in the friends' list it doesn't grant you any authority to spy others' private life, it doesn't entitle you to exercise electronic surveillance about what and when others do with their consolles or PCs. Infringements can always be reported and punished, but general control is unlawful: Wiretap is a good perk, not a legitimate tool in real life among private citizens. Moreover, if you can hide your names to your opponents and mates, you have the full right to hide it to people you are not playing with. And there is no reason for a discrimination among PS4 and PC players. Please, report this message to the other developers. Thank you in advance.

    I'm afraid this is something you will need to take up with your platform, Anonymous Mode (which is what you're requesting) is not available on consoles, only PC - due to platform limitations.
