Hey, what if...
I don't know if this might take too much programming or what not, and I am still pretty new to this awesome game, but
what if there were new game mechanics for survivors to hide? I have been thinking of beds in more urban maps, being able to close and lock doors, opening and closing windows and closets. This would be perfect for scenarios with some of the maps, like the preschool one. All of these should take the same amount of time to check lockers for killers. And I think the doors should be able to be broken down, with the survivor be able to struggle to keep the door closed. Windows can be opened and closed to trick killers or survivors, and should take time to open them. I think anyone can also break it, but for survivors, it should cause a bleeding effect without being in the injured state. The closet would probably be the same as a locker, only less obvious inside a building. These should only be in very few maps though, they can't be too OP.
Just pallets and lockers cannot be the only strategies against killers, there should be more game mechanics relating to horror movies. If horror movie characters can attempt to hide in these scenarios, why not these survivors?
I would still keep only pallets and lockers for outside maps, like the farm and the estate.
Thanks for reading. Just an idea, probably terrible if viewed by professional standpoints...Preparing for ridicule and criticism
Have a great weekend/day too

I guess you played F13 before
BUT
Why hide when you can rush 5 Gens in 4min? The only Time i see survivor enter a Locker is to block a attack. It`s pretty simple are you being chased? yes: buy as much time looping no: repair gens1 -
Hiding in DbD is a losing tactic as it wastes time. Get good at running the killer around and you'll win more games.

That's not always the case I've had matches before where killer has killed 2 survivors an had 1 D/C leaving me with 5 gens {yes I know 3 gens then hatch) an he had ruin, devour, monitor an nurses I managed to hide from him do all 5 gens cause I wasn't going to do hatch stand off against a p3 Michael an still manage to escape, so depending the situation Hiding in DbD can be very handy an useful1 -

Have a great weekend/day tooI had a really odd idea. So we have windows right? why not LADDERS. only survivors can climb (it takes 2-3 seconds) and stay in for a limited amount of time to say, pop an insta heal, get a flash blind then BL off, get their bearings, or just recover from exhaustion.

Ladders? I feel like that would be a thing in farm maps, etc, and but it should be a thing that the killer can easily grab you from.

Survivors dont need to hide because they simply dont need to be scared. HAve you seen safe zones spread over the whole map in other horror games? Or the victims literally bullying the killer, runnign in circles and dropping pallets on his head? Its a shame if you ask me, but whatever
