Remove negative pips
Early tunneling, camping, teammate suicides happen way too often to keep losing pips. It's supposed to be a measure of how much time we put in the game and we are not putting negative time into trials.
Since nothing is being done about camping and tunneling before the gens are completed the very least you can do is stop the loss of pips because of them. I'm sick of playing Survivor and being dragged down by other survivors because of a bad matchmaking system or by a killer that won't let me even play the game because they have to win every single game. It's not fun at all.

How do you think we feel when we have to deal with loops, flashlights, exhaustion perks, etc?

Not a killer vs survivor topic. Remove depips for both sides. I'm just speaking from a Solo queue Survivor point of view.

Your OP was just about survivor stuff, so I added my side. Sorry you don't like what I said but I think I can speak for a lot of killers out there that we are tired of seeing annoying things coming from survivor players too.

There is stuff wrong with both sides that can be fixed. However on the killer side nothing the survivors do stops you from playing the game like camping, tunneling, and slugging does for survivors. You are free to do whatever you want, whenever you want, when playing killer.
2 -
Just wrong in 2 out of 5 matches the last 2 survivors hide till you find then just to waste you time often like 10-20min if that dosent stop you from playing idk what does

You are free to roam the map and do whatever you want. Stop acting like that is worse than being camped or tunneled to death and literally not being able to move on a hook. Or being slugged twice (assuming you have unbreakable and use it once) and then being left to bleed out for 4 minutes on the ground while the killer looks for the last Survivor..

sounds like you need to get better at looping and/or sneaking. As much as I hate getting looped as a killer, the survivor in most cases isn't looping me just to screw with me. They're doing it to buy time for others to sneak away and do gens. If you're getting tunneled, the killer has found his weak link.

Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about bud. There is no looping when you are being camped and hard tunneled off the hook. Did you even consider maybe I'm being camped and tunneled BECAUSE I looped the killer for a long time prior to that?
3 -
Sounds like you're just mad. As a killer, if I'm going after someone it's usually because they are the weak link of the team. Ask yourself why you're getting camped/tunneled and work towards fixing that.

"since nothing is being done about camping and tunneling"
-borrowed time basekit
-reassurance
-unbreakable basekit coming
Also: Survivors can also impair Killers in obnoxious ways, just because killers cant be stopped from moving with wasd doesn't mean that it's exactly enjoyable to be held hostage by hiding surivors for ridiculous amounts of time, to be locker tech'd by bully squads or to be unable to hook people because of saboing - but hey, sure, being stuck for literal 10-20 minutes in a game that's basically finished can't be worse than being camped for 90s because at least killers can move around right?

I mean fixing the emblem system sounds really good right now
And also separating the low grades and high grades (I know they aren't used in MM, but I feel it should be)

I just love all the killer biased comments. You just cant help yourselves can you? It's people like you that ruin these forums always assuming players are bad and thinking you deserve to win every single game.
Never even admitting that killers have the upper hand. You have to come into every neutral or survivor sided topic and spout out all your theories and nonsense about how the game is so unfair for Killers.

I never said that, you came in here with an axe to grind. Sorry you had a few bad games man.

You wonder why I'm angry when you spout out dumb assumptions and think you're good at the game and everyone else on the forums are bad and can somehow learn something from your stereotypical advice that I don't need and certainly didn't ask for.

Annoying scenarios aren't actually a balance problem. I didnt say Locker Techs were OP or hiding was an unbalanced strategy. Just as pips don't determine wins. I just said they are equally annoying as getting camped or tunneled. Balance is a whole different thing.
1 -
That I can agree with, this thread isn't about survivor vs killer and what's more annoying though. It's about losing pips on either side for things out of your control. It's just a lot easier to lose a pip as a Survivor multiple games in a row because of bad matchmaking, poor teammates, or killers that won't let people play the game.
1 -
how often do you de-pip? It happens very rarely to me, even in solo queue, maybe once every 12~13 survivor matches... and it was never a problem for me... maybe you just got unlucky with a few lobbies?
1 -
I never said I was good, whose making assumptions now? Seriously it's a matter of the people you're playing with being better than you. I have nothing to do with your games.

Read what you posted. You came in here saying "Sounds like you need to get better at looping" and "If you're getting tunneled looks like the killer found their weak link" did you somehow already forget that?
1 -
It happens often enough to make getting to Iri 1 more of a hassle than it needs to be. I don't play in a SWF very often and the few times I do it's without comms because I'm not a fan of comms with people I don't personally know in real life and all my friends in real life are not interested in playing DbD.

I am considering some points regarding some issues and inconsistencies regarding PIP.
When it was a matching system by rank and when it worked.
Developers used rank as a measure of competence.
But as time went on, everyone became Red Rank and Rank 1. I think the matchmaking of ranks has been broken since then.
The developers abandoned the rank system, which no longer worked, and developed a matchmaking system based on rates, which are masked data. The ranks were then reshaped into the grades we have today. At that point, I remember the developers saying about grades that they were an indicator of how much you had played recently.
But here is where the contradiction arises.
If the grade is to be an indicator of how much you have played recently, then everyone should get a grade of red 1 if they play a lot. Oddly enough, just like when I was at that rank.
But both ranks and grades use the exact same emblem system. Anyone else find this odd?
If it reinforces the OP's opinion, I agree that PIP for grades need not be reduced. Because the grade should only be an indicator of how recently it was played.
I am not sure if I am getting my point across well since I am speaking through an automated translation. But I am trying to say that the grading system itself is flawed.

in what way is that saying im better than you? I told you you need to work on your skill. How the hell does that have anything to do with my skill? It's an objective comment, you're getting tunneled and camped so find a way to not get tunneled and camped. My god are you projecting hard right now.

Again, read your own first post on this thread. You're implying I'm bad at looping for being camped and then tunneled the moment I get unhooked. Then you spout out stupid things like I should practice looping and hiding when those are not an issue for me and go on about how looping is used to waste a killers time.
I ALREADY know what looping and stealthing are and why they are used! I don't need to be told about basic things that don't apply to being camped and then tunneled directly off the hook before I even have a chance to heal and reset. How are you not understanding what YOU wrote and why that would be annoying to an experienced player?
2 -
Your comment is well written and easy to understand. I completely agree with you!
Thank you for sharing your opinion on reduced pips and the grading system.
