Mechanical Scarcity - Finish repairing 3 generator(s) while holding a Rare Toolbox or better
I get no progress on this one. I tried with Alex's Toolbox, Engineer's Toolbox, Commodious Toolbox and Mechanic's Toolbox. I finished a gen alone and with someone else.
What I'm doing wrong?

I had difficulty with this quest as well. Burned through six rare toolboxes trying to get it to work. What ended up working for me was to solo a gen and use the toolbox to finish off the gen. Maybe that's a bit more involved, but like the first post, I tried multiple types of rare toolboxes, tried doing it with survivors, without them. I basically had to take a gen from 0 to done and use the toolbox. Hope that helps others, because it was frustrating me.

Indeed, i unequipped and re-equipped it and it resolved my issue.

You're not doing anything wrong - you're just meant to equip a green toolbox or better and finish a generator (which means just make sure you're on it when it completes, not do 100% of it). Your toolbox can even be empty and this will count, so long as you were physically on the generator when it completes.
This sounds like a bug - but strangely it worked with me and I've not heard anyone else complain about it. What platform are you on? And do you always use a particular set of add-ons/perks?

I'm on steam and i brought COH, DH, Built to Last and Streetwise as perks and as toolbox addons i brought wirespool and scraps.
seems like i'am the only one with this problem.

Hm I definitely got it on Steam with a commodious , wirespool and scraps, didn’t do the gens alone but with someone else and I had prove thyself equipped..
i guess you had the problem on several different gens and maps?

I guess you should open a bug report.
is it possible for you to create a clip/video of such a match?
i would also suggest trying with a different build, maybe streetwise and/or built to ist are the problem?

I also have trouble with this challenge.
I've done 2 out of the 3 gens on one game, but since then, even using the same toolbox as before, no gens is counted anymore.
I've finished repairing more than 6 gens, some all by myself from 0 to 100%, some with other survivors, and none of them counted for my last one of the challenge...
