the BT base kit should not activate with deliverance. or at least during the EGC
This is a rare occasion I'm not upset with any players who take advantage of it. here's what happened.
Two players left, I hook one, the other opens a gate. then chooses to try and save the one on hook even though they're injured. needless to say it didn't work out. however.
I put them on a hook and they jump off right in front of me. and the BT base kit allowed them to escape scot free when I had them dead to rights. this is after a hard fought game game too. this was not an easy get.
Like I said it's a rare occurrence but I had that kill and they used a get out a jail free card. right in front of me
has this happened to anyone else? and how did you feel?

again with deliverance only

It's not at all a get out of jail free card. It takes quick thinking (or comms) for both survivors tho make that call on the spot and act accordingly. And even then it's not a guarantee. Counting on getting the unhook when already injured is a gamble, counting on making that a safe unhook is an even greater gamble - and getting to actually use Deliverance is still very much a hail mary since the unhooked can't just dash to the exit gates and leave (which he indeed has to if the killer swings right into BT and keeps chasing; either they get downed or they get out. Either way the killer gets at least one more kill); in that case the deliverance player doesn't get the prompt to unhook but is insta-killed upon being hooked.
I had it pulled off against me once or twice where deliverance or a lucky 4% came in a real clutch. It's a bit of a table-flipping moment; "*so close* aaaaarrrgggghhh"; similar to that feeling when you got the gate pretty much open and could tank a hit and be out... but then NOED hits. Point being: yes, it's frustrating but it happens on either side and is part of the game.

I'd agree such things shouldn't be active during the egc. At that point the survivors do not need it, especially when they still have the 2 minute extension to save any dying or hooked survivors.
A deliverance play in this situation is golden. I'll agree it's not a common sight I'm sure, but I could say the BT affect should not be present.

How did all the threads with NWO and single survivor go? "You played against survivor with just 3 perks and this perk is designed to be used just once in this specific ocasion so it makes no sense to be disabled?" I am not sure if it was directly you, but I think it was.
It's not free by any means. Someone had to spend a perk slot specifically for this. If he used the perk slot for 1 quick heal, you would get pretty much same result.
I agree it's bad feeling to loose close game like this, but it's a great feeling for the other side. And believe me - with all the killer regression perks AND random 7% of unconditional 10% gen regression (you have 7% chance that when you stop touching gen, that you will fail skillcheck that never gives you any warning/chance to hit) these bad feeling-lost game happens more often on survivor side. Still remember that doctor game where I had like really almost 100% gen but then shock into T3 into kick with eruption/OC combo that regressed it to 30% upon which we never completed last gen and lost it.

You have bigger issues if a survivor using Deliverance in EGC.
The endurance exists to help prevent survivors from instantly going down off hook. I don't see an issue with how it currently works.

Eh, I'm not much of a no way out kinda guy or whatever, but I know I haven't said the 3 perk thing before.
Pretty sure I haven't at least. Doesn't seem like me.

I might misremember the name. Sorry if that's the case.

I thinks its fine bc its the first hook. If you never hooked the survivor, it shouldnt be an easy kill.
Its sucks if the survivor is immortal bc of it, but this cases are pretty rare. Most of the time you can hook far away and bodyblock a bit, so the 10 sec run out or you can force everyone out, so deliverance doesnt work.

I feel for you.
I had a 4k safe some time ago (all 4 slugged, no gate open) but I forgot that DS deactivates once all gens are done and therefore I slugged a recently unhooked person and hooked another one who was never hooked before. Guess what happened.
I didn't get a single kill in the end. And I was really mad because they were pretty toxic for no reason at all.

I am pretty sure you remember it so well because they were toxic. Sure I also play killers and also hate that stuff.
But it does not mean change game balance because people are toxic. Correct solution is to (temporary) ban toxic people (and I mean it generally - killers can be very toxic too)

True.

You didn't hooked them once. Other two players left. You lost this game. I understand your salt but if we imagine your suggestion will be implemented then... then this person just opens gates and leaves. Like, they leave ANYWAY either they can be hooked and self-unhook themselves with endurance or they just doesn't try to save teammate and leave right away because deliverance won't give endurance. You can't get them killed, no matter what, your solution changes nothing but band-aid your frustration.
Also your "Like I said it's a rare occurrence but I had that kill" sounds like "it's a rare occurrence but I had that escape and killer just used get out of jail free card and blocked gates with bloodwarden, how is it fair, it was a tough game". You don't have escape until escape animation and you don't have kill until death animation either.
This person used perkslot, activated perk and SAVED it till the EGC (being zero hooks), that last part isn't easy, you know. That definitely wasn't a free card. 4% would be a free card there. Probably. Still if you didn't manage to hook this person at least once through the whole game then the problem is matchmaking (or your bad luck) and not how the perk works.
