Hex perks need a rework.
It's way to common for a to survivor find themselves spawned right next to a lit totem, and with how the game spawns the players the killer runs into situations where they don't have a chance to stop it from being broken even if it's the first thing checked.
The survivors are looking around the map at the start of a match for a generator, that's the time they are more likely to spot a totem or call one out if its a SWF, Completely nullifying a perk slot on the killer.
Hex perks should activate on a dull totem after its condition is met. Either a hit, hook, vault or touching a generator. Undying could activate when any other totem is lit.
And remove all lighthouse totem spawns.

I had this thought a little bit ago and honestly it would make sense. Undying honestly shouldn't even appear until another hex totem is cleansed, unless it's the only totem of course. This way based on the game start, totem placements can be decided based on where other players are

Are you suggesting hex spawns be adjusted so they always spawn far away? That would mean you could know where hex totems spawn consistently. Same thing is done with Pinhead and his box, and look how that can be abused.

just make hexes activate after the first minute of the match. problem solved

It would be nice if Hex take a minute into to the match in order to give the killer breathing room to protect their hex. Sure a Survivor or two can waste time cleansing or blessing a dull totem; but at least the perk will light up a random totem spawn, and it not like all hex perks are immediately activated; well except for Blood Favor or crowd control and maybe Retribution, once a Survivor breaks a totem.

I do think that placement on almost all maps needs to be redone still. They did a good job on Treatment Theater and Dead Dawg Saloon but so many more maps, even new ones like Garden of Joy, have beacons even though they said they would fix that. All of the outdoor maps with hills still have the occasional beacon hill totem, too. Even RPD, where they clearly could have put the totem underneath the desks, they stuck it out where the chair would be.
