Vittorio's purple cosmetics are DISAPPOINTING

The main thing that annoys me, we got the lore entry for Vittorio on the website and twitter, and it was rather interesting and cool imo. .And what more, we had art of him in his normal life wherein he wore a medieval styled outfit befitting of nobility... Yet the DLC launches and we don't get an outfit featured in actual DBD artwork, we get ridiculous shirtless outfits instead.

I do think the thirst baiting (not the thirst itself) is somewhat of an issue and a very strange decision, but I'm aware it makes sense for them to do as a company, I just wanted to vent on what I think's a silly decision from a lore perspective.

I don't have an issue with Vittorio getting so many cosmetics on his launch, I don't care about Haddie's lack of cosmetics in comparison to him either (I see her 1/30 games, if that.), but things like this are extremely obvious baiting decisions that are obviously just trying to get as many auric cell sales as possible without much real substance to it. Give us more lore skins!

I'm not sure what else you expected. It's all about money. That's why CoH and old MoM were absurdly broken at launch, to sell DLC. It's why Feng gets new skins non-stop. This isn't new or surprising

There's nothing actually wrong with thirst bait, though...?

Like, I certainly get not personally enjoying it - shirtless dude skins aren't my thing either - but "lore skins" and "shirtless/thirst bait skins" are on wholly equal levels, one isn't better than the other. Horror as a genre is built on horniness, so these skins fit seamlessly into the vibe of the game.

Heck, Vittorio does have other skins for purchase too. I'd like to see some more medieval garb too, but the existence of the shirtless skins isn't taking their place or anything, they're all valid types of cosmetics.

    1. I mean this isn't new. The dbd community has always thirsted for characters. They did it with fale characters did they not? They did it with David did they not. There is nothing wrong with that and we shouldn't shame people for it

    2. To be honest I like the direction they are making with Vittorio. To be honest I think it would completely take me out of it if they had a person for the middle ages doing a generator a machine they have no concept of even knowing. At least this direction it makes sorta sense.

I'm going to say it I hope they don't make too many historical outfits and stick with mostly modern one I would like to imagine from that time explore different time periods and how they would react

I re-read the post and see that it does come across as a bit too judgmental and preachy, which I'll edit. I'm aware horniness and horror are intertwined, it's a part of why I love horror; and despite my post, shirtless dudes -are- my thing, I just think it's a huge shame that we didn't get a featured artwork skin in-game at the launch of the character, since that's what I was personally really hoping for. Wasn't trying to be mean to people who like the shirtless stuff.

Vittorio -IS- a person from the middle ages though, is he not? We don't know how the entity's realm has changed since he first got taken there; but I highly doubt the trials were always generators.

Though I do just have to personally disagree, I think it's really cool to see IRL history used as basis for characters and skins.

As for judgmental yes, the post did come across too much like that and I didn't mean it to, I can only apologise for it, I was just quite disappointed at the lack of medieval garb.

It would be very nice. I imagine we'll get some in a future tome if he gets featured in one, at the very least.

Imo, i prefer the shirtless cosmetic over a medieval cosmetic and not because of horny reasons, but because we get to see in full display all the arcane tattoos Vittorio has stolen from other Survivors in his very long time spent traveling around in the fog as mentioned in the haunted by daylight tome entry, which i think is really cool.

I actually like the approach they took with the lore and how both the Killer & Survivor's perks, cosmetics and their descriptions reflects it, instead of doing something expected by giving him default clothing that looks closer to that of the era he's from and along with a castle map.

That said however, i'm sure bhvr will give us dark age cosmetics for Vittorio sooner or later if there's enough demand for it.

Amazing work! I just wish you gave him a nose. :| I might draw it in by myself xD

On the topic, I love Vittorio's purple cosmetics. Not just because he's shirtless, but they are really, really cool, badass looking imo. The glowing tattoos, the hair/beard, the pants. Very good direction imo. But yeah, I do understand that people want the medieval cosmetics for him as well. Hopefully BHVR satisfies these wishes as well. I feel like they would be making money.

I love seeing our new dilf shirtless and while we are at it where's shirtless Myers?

Meh. Im sure there was some medieval men back then that were shirtless like vittorio. Besides, it does give off some god of war clothing with that baldur guy with tattoos. I think thats his name.
