Weather Effects
— It’s raining, so all players audibly splash around in puddles.
— It’s storming, and every lightning bolt makes a split-second blinding flash. Thunder makes distracting noise notifications for the killer.
— It’s windy, so all sounds are muffled. Perhaps even the heartbeat radius is reduced. Noise notifications and generator auras now have a maximum range. The auras of dying or hooked survivors also have a maximum range.
— It’s snowing, and everyone’s cold. All movement by all players is slowed by the same amount. Chases feel longer. Moving from cover to cover is riskier. Cramping fingers reduce generator repair speed a bit (to make up for the killer spending more time on chases). Players who don’t move for a certain period of time begin to audibly chatter their teeth.
— It’s icy. Ice is slick for all parties involved. Once you touch a patch, you slide in the direction you were facing until you reach the ther side. If the killer is looking in even a slightly different direction, he may drift away from the survivor he was chasing.
— It’s hot and muggy, so everyone is sweaty and exhausted. The killer loses grip of wiggling survivors much more quickly. Sacrifices proceed faster (hard to fight off that dang entity with sweaty palms!) Health bars for crawling survivors and deep wound status bars drain much more quickly.
— It’s Autumn and the crunchy leaves make lots of noise.
Indoor maps could have variations involving loud or overactive heating/AC.

add weather without game changing effects.

I would be happy if they could add rain like the one in red forest randomly in other maps.1

I'd love more weather effects, I think the problem would be the fps issues for many players however.

Hopefully the soon-to-come dedicated servers can help out with at least one of these issues. Overall though, I suppose it just comes down to programming, testing, and bug-hunting, huh?
