Please disable the new map
I loaded up a custom game and counted, it's spawning literally 30+ pallets every game. This can't possibly be intended. It's like it is spawning every possible pallet instead of 1 or the other.

Wish my solo queue teammates knew that, because they're all getting instaggibed on the new map and out of the 5 times I've gone to it thus far, it's been a 4K for the killer.

New map is utter trash. Like a million safe loops and pallets connected on a pretty small map. Can't see scratch marks very well because of the environment. Lots of really small environment objects you get stuck on. Environment in general doesn't have much in the way of colour variation.
Shaping up to be my new most hated map already!

Because survivors have too many disadvantages and they need loads of pallets because poor things play a killer side game. Just kidding. Devs put too many pallets because they doesn't want survs to use their brains to keep the killer in chase. Now chase are pallet, pallet, pallet, pallet and you win. Before this chase needed a brain to be done

I just done quick run with wraith using the pallet/window perk (forgot the name) & I counted 20 pallets & 16 windows. About 3/4 of the map is god pallets into tiles into shacks into god pallets.
I also ran Eyrie out if curiosity and counted only 13 pallets & that map is double the size.
What an absolute joke lol

The sad part the map was designed with The Knights Guard Patrol set up in mind but the PTB proved that until they make either the green orb or the patrol range hidden for the Survivors then we will only have drop a guard at a loop and be done

Totally agree. New map is horrible for killers. I just played it for the first time as killer and could barely see scratch marks, plus there are elements of the map such as parts of walls that the exact same color as scratch marks so you go out of your way to locate a survivor that isn’t there.
This is yet another example out of a garbage product that would take a casual player 2 minutes to identify as a show stopping problem, yet the devs after months of supposedly careful development and testing go “yep, looks good - ready for release!”

Yes. This map is a pile of trash product that the devs should have never released. They do not play or test their own game

Well actually, I spoke to some low MM- I mean High MMR players on the DBD Facebook groups about it and they say its a skill issue so get good
Seriously though, go look around the videos or pictures being posted about tile generation on this map. People are excusing the 25 connected safe pallets because "Its day one, stop complaining" & "Learn how to adapt, I won a match here"
Its not about adapting or whether or not you can a singular match against Dog---- players there, its simply about game health. The map clearly needs to be addressed, I've been abusing it all day as Survivor. The few times I've taken hooks here have mostly been SoloQ teammate shenanigans or me getting greedy/running into debris when I'm looking backwards

Same, I just got out of a game on that map as Legion. I could not see scratch marks, survivors just melted into the background of the map. ONTOP of that, I couldn't see ANY of the hooks, other than the ones in the basement cause you just have to look down to see those. Hooks are supposed to be highlighted so the killer can see them, but do you think I could? NO! They too, like the survivors blended right in with the background as well.
Too mang pallets, too many safe loops. Like aesthetically, it looks amazing. But design-wise, hard pass. But I get the feeling it's going to pop up the most in the next few weeks due to it being a new map.

In addition to the things listed above the color palette is causing my eyes to hurt. Played three games on this map and each time started to get a headache.

Honestly, most pallets are weak against the vast majority of killers, there are 3 that are near impossible to mindgame, but almost every other one is doable for killers since there is constant vision and thus very easy to maintain chase. Then there is only 1 window other than shack that is some use as the rest of the tiles have gaps that either make fast vaulting very difficult or have gaps that allow the killer to maintain a similar distance.
Thats not to say that there is obviously a bug in the code skipping the pallet check, because last time I checked the RNG tiles are not supposed to spawn a pallet within 8 meters(and even then, there is like a chance that it won't) and the only pallets that skip that check are static pallets. And I've seen 3 weak pallets spawn in a triangle that was either barely 8 meters or within 8 meters(I am not going to spend time trying to figure that out).
This either means that the minimal pallet distance is reduced or even 0, or that there is a bug in the spawn chance where literally every pallet that can spawn, will spawn.
3rd possibility, a potentially cruel test to see if pallet count still matters more than pallet strength.
In any case, the only killers I've seen struggle a bit on the map are stealth killers and Trapper. Mainly due to their powers kinda requiring to be not visible.

IDK. The only 2 problems I had on this map was scratch marks and some environment that looked like breakable wall but wasn't in 1 building. Some elements in the map resemble them too much which made me go on a fake chases. For the pallets - yes there are many pallets. But only a few usable. You don't need to even break most of them.
I just had a single game on it, but 4K at 4 gens with wesker should indicate the strength of those pallets.

Yeah the walls are something I haven't seen mentioned much. It's like they reused assets from the new textures. I keep spamming the action button trying to break them only to look like an idiot. It's very confusing.

Simple thing, in 2016. We could see a loop with double palette, this map remind me this era of dbd, and it was rly rly bad, BHV vanished double palette loop, so BHV need to fix it. You can see some area has 4 palettes in less than 20 meters thats crazy (and not main building).
You can run a killer in a whole trial by drop 1 palette every 20sec. Like said above, most maps have around 17 palettes, if i'm correct. (and not stacks)
I don't want to disable it, but need some changes imo.
Or if someone at BHV's team can explain to us that choice ?

So I played M1 killer on that map and if it's real regular M1 killer, then I have to agree the map is just pure awful. It's OK for killers that can play around pallets, but not regular old M1 killers
