I will say, I will trial it - if it's something that becomes abused, then it will go. But it was a highly requested feature

It's one of those things that will take a bit of time to get used to - not sure about the colours yet either, I need someone who's not colourblind to check those with me

I'm totally useless when it comes to colors but everything looks pretty clean to me.

Is there a way to block people from DMing you? I worry that people who make some discussions will get harrassed in DMs for their opinions.

That should be switched on prior to the weekend! You will have the option to ignore a user and you won't see their comments or DM's.
You can also have group DM's on the go.

We will also be able to moderate DM's - I want our forum users to feel safe here, this is an important factor for me, which is why I was hesitant to use these features, but I also want you to have an enjoyable experience on the forum.

My god you can actually open the notifications tab on mobile without opening another tab

whew that's a relief. During the building process of this, I was double checking everything with my mobile to make sure that there was no issues - we do have one or two problems (which is why there is a "home" button on the top bar temporarily) on the mobile version, but it's definitely a lot smoother and user friendly than the last one.

How is that going to work?
Will all DMs just be reviewed by mods or is it more like “you can flag/report it if it’s something bad and then it’ll get looked at”?
Either way love to see that it’s a thing now.

Not all will need to be reviewed by mods, you can flag the DM and we can review it - screenshots won't be necessary as we can access things.
I want to be able to trust our users, DM's was a highly requested feature when I asked a few months ago as was the ability to ignore a user. These are features I can toggle on/off easily also, if they turn out to be problematic then they can get switched off, however I would like to give these features a good trial.

It feels weird. 😂 Maybe it's because I'm on mobile.
Can't wait for new forum pics that are charms to be added like a certain pretty birdy or Maurice charm we currently have in game.
Also thank you to dbd forums Twitter for sharing the new link, was wondering why when I refreshed forums page it was still down.

I tested on Android and another wonderful CM helped me tested on iphone - they both worked, so I'm hoping you find it ok.

Where are the notifications? 😂 I'm on Android using Chrome and I don't see them anywhere like I did before. I only saw GoodBoyKaru quoted me because it popped up while I was looking at a different post.

on android, click on your profile pic - you will see the message notification, plus the bell icon there for forum notifications...with a gap between them so you can click easily

Should I have a visible profile pic in a specific spot on the forums that isn't from a comment/post I made? Or would I need to go to one to access my profile to see notifications?

you'd need to check your profile, you can see where it shows your profile icon in my screenshot.

Since my profile pic is the DBD logo I thought it was just part of the header. 😂

So is the old site never coming up again and this is the new one? Because unfortunately the old one still pops up first for me and I actually found this one through a link I saw in a Twitter post.

Need to get used to new forums indeed. But they look cool. I like I still can browse recent discussions, but information about categories is missed there, only titles are visible :c and 11 discussions is almost nothing, it used to be at least 20.
Hope we'll see QoL changes in nearest future to adjust everything, I really like new look ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for PMs!!

It's hard because I'm not used to it yet....
It would be nice to be able to see how many new comments have been received before opening a discussion, like before the renewal.
