false bans?
about a week ago ive been banned from the game. i was ingame with friends, i dcd post game and while reconnecting it said that ive been permanently suspended. apparently i got autobanned by EAC, and while contacting them - it is clear nobody actually reviewed the case, they send automated responses (the kind that gmail instantly throws in spam box) and if anyone tried to watch a vod or anything to that extent it would be evident that i do not cheat.
has anyone else experienced such a thing? what do i do? i never cheated in dbd, only thing i could think of is having CE on (i do hollow knight runs on 1.5x, CE changes client speed) but even that ive never used to cheat and certainly not on dbd (for any use), other than that i cant think of anything.
is this a thing now where ppl get banned without cheating? i did see forum posts of this happening before but nothing recent, trying to get an idea of why the heck would all my effort and money be thrown to the bin just like that, its been sitting on my heart since it happened and i just cant get my head around it

EAC detected you altering the game files. EAC will not trigger on cheat engine unless your using it to modify dbd.

yeah i know how EAC works, this is why im here, because ive been banned but i never altered the game files (or memory or whatever i could to get an advantage over others)

cheat engine, it is a memory&hex editing program, u can use it for a variety of things, as the name implies cheating too and i sometimes have it open

EAC looks for what is being done to the game files. I use cheat engine too. EAC doesnt ban just cuz you have a very commonly used application. but if you used it to alter DBD files, yes it will take action.

again, you're repeating what you said earlier, i know how eac works, i am here because ive been banned when i havent altered anything in the files or in the games process, i appreciate you taking your time to answer but you are not helping, i am seeking answers as to what might've caused this or help with that matter..

Its POSSIBLE its a false ban but that is doubtful. You wouldnt be the first cheater who comes to a forum to say how you didnt cheat. And if you knew how EAC works then you wouldnt have mentioned cheat engine as you would have already known that would not have been involved if you didnt use it to modify game files. Message support if you think its really an error but your chance of getting unbanned is pretty much zero.

i mentioned ce because that was the only thing i could think of that could even remotely cause a detection of any sort. so if you were in my shoes, would you not have mentioned it? then whats the point? again its not like im in hope that the forum could magically reinstate my account, im trying to understand what causes it, and to be frank im pretty devastated about it and you pretty much spamming things that i have already said several times i know doesnt help. just think about what you wouldve said if you were facing the same issue. nothing you could say would ever sound right. im just putting everything on the table to try and get to the bottom of this.
