starstruck nurse
Why is this "bullshit" still avaible? I suggest people who are in charge in BHVR to play some games against it so they can understand what we have to deal with .

I completely agree. I dont think Nurse herself is busted. But Starstruck and Agitation on her is.
3 -
I find it funny a lot of people say this perk is busted on Nurse, that perk is busted on Nurse, those addons are busted on Nurse, and follow with I don't think Nurse is busted/broken. Nurse is the problem.
15 -
Nurse is not a problem at all. Nurse is one of the few killers that can consistently has a shot against good SWFs. And playing Nurse against good swfs is not always easy, you know? I know a great Nurse can be a pain in the ass to face. But I still dont think she is OP.
2 -
I bet there is more likely chance for some random good addon on any avarage killer to be nerfed before this combo will lol.
2 -
Tbf the perks aren’t the issue here. Nurse’s insanely strong power is the issue and has actually gotten perks like Awakened awareness nerfed
She’s the issue here
7 -
The problem about Nurse + Starstruck is not the nurse, it's Starstruck.
Remove her TR when her carries a survivor and the problem will disappear 🤗
1 -
Or maybe this just shows that both Nurse and SWF are overpowered compared to the rest of the killers/soloq and both should be adjusted?
2 -
How do you adjust "Survivor" x4 ( optionally + comms) without busting "Survivor" ? The devs probably wont ever make special rules for group play. Conversely, any buff to "Survivor" will also affect SWF, I'm also pretty sure that SWF will utilize any Information buff Survivor will receive better than "solo" can. SWF being stronger than "solo" will always be the case.
As for the Killer side? We obviously could gut the top killers like we always have done, but maybe we should start adjusting killers like we are survivors; by buffing the weaker Killers upwards. Anyone disagreeing with this while wanting the solo-swf gap closed is a hypocrite.

Yes. Her power is strong enough already but the fact that it synergizes with so many perks is problematic to the point where she needs a nerf. Block all aura reading while using her power and make her blink attacks special attacks. Also nerf her range addons
1 -
The reason Starstruck Nurse is problematic because it synergizes with her already strong power. She is already strong enough and does not need perks that require the usage of basic attacks (She can even make sloppy butcher very opressive since it's very important to stay healthy against her). Just make her blink attacks special attacks instead of adjusting her TR and the Starstruck & Jolt issue is solved. (Also they should make Eruption only trigger by downing a survivor with a basic attack to make Blight and potentially a reworked nurse not synergize with that perk since they already have the strongest power in the game)
1 -
Yeah you can't nerf SWF, it's stupid to punish some one because they want to play with a friend. Buff solo to be on par (or as close as possible) to SWF and then nerf survivor in general or buff killer overall, then nerf Nurse if needed. If other killers still need individual buffs then buff them, but no killer will ever be able to compete with Nurse no matter how much you buff them, she needs a nerf, even if it's just a small one like making her blinks M2 attacks.
1 -
You suggest this on every nurse thread, but they’re never gonna do that. There is absolutely no precedent of any TR being changed simply by carrying a survivor. What you’re suggesting is just a band-aid.
Besides, do you really want to remove her TR entirely? That just allows her to do preposterous backpack builds w/ agitation.
1 -
How is it a starstruck issue if it’s balanced on literally every other killer but her?
When was the last time you even seen starstruck on someone who wasn’t nurse?
2 -
If you make her blink attack specials then they would have to increase her base movement speed since she is SLOWER than Survivors.
The reason why her power is the way it is currently is because of how slow she is. Without her blinks she would never be able to land a hit or even catch a Survivor.
1 -
let's say nurse runs agitation starstruck and then bbq and floods of rage so she can see people both when outside her terror radius and inside if she is coming back to the hook and the person gets unhooked
when she picks up the survivor all you have to do is just hold W and run away, even if she sees you on BBQ you should have enough time to outlast starstruck by the time she blinks to you for distance and you can outlast at least one 2 blinks attack by using cover (since by holding w you should basically go to somewhere on the map that is not an open area and hide). If someone else is doing the unhooking she will then see you with floods but at that point starstruck will wear off
In case your teammates were dumb enough to unhook immediately (since they were lo also affected by starstruck if they were close enough to the hook) you are all losing the game regardless since Nurse is the most powerful killer (someone has to be) and will capitalize on these basic survivor mistakes far better than everyone else, but that's not a Nurse problem anymore

No clue how a niche 2-3perk combo could be more 'problematic' than 4 slowdown.A combo that is relatively underwhelming and only brings value against unaware survivors.
1 -
None of these perks are niche on her and that for good reason. Even supposedly weaker perks like Sloppy and Jolt will become very strong on her. Regarding the 4 slowdown perk combo you mentioned that needs to be fixed by itself. It's not exclusively a Nurse issue.
0 -
No you don't? Her base power is already so strong that she can keep up the pace of full meta survivors and does not need Starstruck or Jolt. Not to mention that she can still use a lot of perks.
0 -
Yes you do her base power is strong yes but it makes up for her slow speed hence why her blinks are basic attacks. If you change her blinks all to be special then a speed boost must be given so she can get basic attacks in.
1 -
You don't get the notification when she grabs the survivor?
Are you per chance trying to Tango with her?
Starstruck means you need to scram, plain and simple.
In my games, in the off chance I use Starstruck, I get at most one hit with it. My opponents are usually smart enough to avoid it.
I'm pretty sure I annoy more survivors with Franklin than with Starstruck.
2 -
I don't believe for one second you play Nurse, or at least at a high enough level.
You'd change your tune pretty fast.
3 -
Nurse was my main killer even though I don't play her as much now but I have NEVER used Starstruck on her. I totally agree that it is completely broken and way overkill on her and I completely understand why people don't want to play against that. I find Iri Heads just as obnoxious too even after they got nerfed...

Nurse is fine, and so is starstruck. Neither of those are the reason people are losing; it’s a skill isue.
2 -
Why is it necessary that Starstruck works with her blink attacks? Why is it necessary that perks like Jolt work with her power? Well it really isn't that's the reality. She will still have a good amount of perks that she can use.
0 -
We need to stop butchering the game to balance around 1 killer.
Also, just make her blink attacks not considered normal m1's.
2 -
This.
I will never get tired of people subtle flexing their ignorance on these forums.

Oh really? Well it might be surprising you that I am in fact a Nurse (and Billy) main. She is also my highest prestige (P42) and what kind of high level are you talking about? Is is depending on the players playtime? Or just the fact that they are a stacked SWF with strong perks and items? Many of the survivors I play against have over 5000h in the gane some even over 10000h. And a lot of teams I go against are SWF with strong loadouts. Now I also have to admit that it's not always the case. Sometimes there are also soloQ players with under 2000h but many of them have a decent amount experience against Nurses and their pathing is strong.
So no. I don't believe for a second that I would change my tune pretty fast even if the teams wil suddeny get better. I know that I'm not the most experienced god like Nurse player but I clearly have played her enough to know what I'm currently capable of.

Colour me surprised then. It's when you say she can keep up the pace of full meta survivors : I've implicitly added "highly skilled SWF4", which is a mistake from my part, maybe. Against those, luck and a f-up from their part is generally the biggest factor (along with the map). They don't give Starstruck a chance to work (their typical tactics making it basically dead weight).
I think the maximum I've seen was 20k (yeah, I know, the guy must keep the game running 24/7). In my experience hours is only loosely correlated to player skills. (But strongly correlated to ego, they are usually the first ones to give up, see pic). I've been very disappointed when I've versed a certain Trapper main streamer with about 7k hours (at the time) to see him go down fast. (No, not Otz)
(I seldom use add-ons so prestige is pretty much useless to me, I only sink the points when I'm too lazy to switch to survivor to transform them into items)

Just imagine what it would be like if the new mori mechanic goes live… the game would end if all 4 survivors are downed.

God I laughed so hard at this.

I simply indicate the easiest and fairest way to prevent the nurse from using Starstruck, that's all 😉
0 -
I was saying that in the sense that when it comes to the [Nurse + Starstruck] combo, the problem is not really with the nurse's basekit, but with her use of the perk 😊
The last time I came across a killer, other than the nanny, using Starstruck?
I run into them from time to time, not a lot though; the last one was a week or two ago.
0 -
Again, there is no good reason to prevent a nurse from using Sloppy Butcher, K.O. or Jolt if she so chooses.
These are only moderately powerful perks, a far cry from the very oppressive builds the nurse can deploy.
So, the proposal we keep hearing about "changing Nurse's M1 to an M2" is neither relevant nor logical.
If you want to remove the "Starstruck" problem, reduce the TR of the nurse when carrying a survivor.
No more, no less.

I would add that if BHVR removed the map offerings, it would also prevent nurses from using Starstruck by choosing (conveniently) Midwich, The game or Raccoon.

As much as I agree on Starstruck, we must not forget that Jolt is controlled by the killer AND by the survivors.
The survivors have a duty to communicate with each other about the location of the generators, the location of the killer, and where they are looping the killer / fixing the generators.
In order to prevent the killer from getting too close to an area where survivors are repairing generators.
Also, it is worth remembering that Jolt no longer has a reload time to prevent survivors from being too greedy on generators and learn a little more to study their strategy rather than stupidly running from generator to generator.
0 -
How am I supposed to communicate with other survivors? They cant hear me duh....
3 -
All considerations and analysis of the nurse's power must be made on the assumption that she is facing a team of vocal survivors 😊
1 -
I'm kinda surprised that lockers don't protect against starstruck.
1 -
Agitation on nurse is trash are you high
0 -
4 slow down isn't an issue. Neither is Starstruck. Skill issue
0 -
Have you tried mind-reading?
0 -
Well I wasn't present in school when they were teaching us Telephaty 101 . I was sick at home playing games which are not total dogshit like this one.
2 -
Yeah her TR needs to be lowered and a lullaby added. Either that or the perk itself (starstruck) should lower the killers TR so its works best when synergised with other perks. One of her blinks should count as a special attack as well.
Also while I’m at it lol, make it rewarding/more possible to stun her, there’s no incentive to do so now.

Thank god you do not work for BHVR.
0 -
Competetive game? This is party game not CS:GO where you play ranked.
Btw If I want to play killer, I wait 3-5 mins for lobby. As survivor I wait 5 secs. That should answer you what is more popular and what needs to get buffed.
1 -
But nurse is the hardest killer in the game!
/s
0 -
She was, but than BHVR "fixed all her bugs" and made her autoattack after blink avaible. Before that you actually needed more than 69IQ to play her. You just gotta love when nurse hits you midblink and it counts a basic attack. I know its due to latency and probably on killer screen it looks just fine.
My suggestion is to make her attack special.
Also it my sound controversial on this forum full of nurse mains, but I am kinda furious when I manage to dodge 1st blink than second blink and than she throws her lunge attack from another 3 meters. I swear those blink attacks are bigger than Myers T3 lunges.
5 -
I do though, and I second what he said

You've missed a message in between (which I understand perfectly as I always do that myself)

The problem with reducing the RT for ALL killers is that it will reduce the power of Starstruck for the weaker killers, with whom perk is not an issue; only the RT of the nurse should be reduced, it would be fairer to the other killers ☺️
On the other hand, no, stop with this idea of transforming his M1s into M2s: it seems that you have been traumatized by nurses using Jolt, Sloppy butcher and K.O. 😁
