Instead of making new content focus on fixing some of the current core issues with the game
The game right now is in a very bad state. Survivor solo queue is frustrating and can be unplayable at times. On killer side you get gen rushing sweat squads who finish the game before it even had a chance to start. When I play either role this stuff happens more often than not and it has gotten very boring especially during the event. To me there are 3 things that need to be addressed for this game to be in a better state.
- Maps - Maps in DBD are either killer or survivor sided based purely on the design of the map. Midwitch is very killer sided and Eyrie of Crows, Badham, and Garden of Joy are mostly survivor sided. They are this way because of their size and the titles in them. Some maps have tiles that are connected really well so survivors can run killers for a long time and there are maps with complete dead zones and little to use for looping easy down for killers. Another factor with maps is gen spawns and survivor spawns. If we ignore Nurse and Blight for a minute and consider the rest of the killer roster a majority of it is made up of M1 killers who have powers that aren't the strongest. If they are put on a map with strong tiles and bad gen spread then the match is most likely over at the start. I've had games where that was the case and it's frustrating. There was nothing I could do. I also feel that map offerings should be removed. They can dictate the outcome of game before it even starts and that is not fair to either side.
- Med-kits and toolboxes - There should only be brown and yellow rarity of these items and the add-ons that go with them. All higher rarities are unfair and give survivors too much speed on gens as well as one too many heals.
- Killer buffs and nerfs - Some killers are fine with their current design, others are too weak/strong. Examples of weak killers are Trapper and Pig. Trapper has a power that is outdated at this point and Pig needs quick chases and luck with her boxes to be effective every game. Nurse and Blight on the other hand are too strong. Nurse can use expose perks to end chases in an instant and she ignores some of the elements on maps like pallets with her power. Nurse is not the easiest killer to use but is not the hardest either. Changing her blink attack into a special attack will fix some of these issues because expose perks won't be strong for her anymore. Her range add-ons need some nerfs. Blight only needs changes to his add-ons, his basekit is fine. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know Blight as well as they think. Blight's speed add-ons, the ring and his iri-add-ons are very strong and used a lot. These need to be nerfed.
These changes need to be done at some point soon. I would do it in this order: 1 - Maps, 2 - Killer nerfs/buffs, 3 - Medkits and toolboxes.
If these changes are made at some point soon then this game is going to be boring and frustrating rather than fun.

You can't talk about items and mention just blight and nurse addons to compensate. In good hands there is nothing. And I stress literally nothing more unfair then amulet MDR spirit. Best medkits and best toolboxes don't even come close. Thankfully people don't play those that often for some strange reason.
Then we have tombstone piece, engeneering's fang and maaany other unfair addons (they are fine when paired with best medkits and toolboxes. But without those they are unfair)

1) Yes maps are a bit messed up... but removing the offering is only for the maps that are Killswitched
2) Nerfing Medkits and Toolboxes won't be enough... they need to buff the other Items as well
3) Trapper still has the fear of a Traps all over the map, but yes he needs some changes... Pig doesn't need to get a headpop every match and people need to realize that the Pig is an Anti- Tunneling Killer... Nurse does need to be looked at (same with Blight)

Obviously there are other killers who have add-ons that are problematic. I wasn't trying to hide that. I was just using Blight/Nurse as examples. BHVR needs to look at all the killers and buff killers who need buffs, nerf killers who need nerfs. Do the same thing with add-ons. Buff the ones that suck and nerf the OP ones.

I would rather have 8 months of all midpatch and balanced updates with perks, maps, killers, addons and item changes than FOUR NEW CHAPTERS with problematic and non-necessary new content which just adds more garbage in the cannister.
Seriously devs, STOP WITH THE NEW CONTENT AND FIX YOUR GAME.
