How to make everyone more happy!
I would like to propose a change to the pallet spawn rate on most maps. Pallets should be a resource that are incredibly important and should be conserved. Right now the current dbd meta is to waste this important resource, and run to another pallet and waste it. I'm a 2018 player, I remember when we would conserve pallets consistently, and it created fun chases for both survivor and killer. Some of my worst loses as killer were survivors who knew how to greed pallets. And by greeding pallets survivors got a huge thrill out of it. The 2018 dbd community is nothing like the 2022 dbd community and there's a way for bhvr to make it more like 2018 while still keeping the 2022 feel. Turn down pallet spawn rates again. Survivors will then be forced to try to use as much resources as possible, in an attempt to run the killer. If your worried about survivors being able to run killers, turn up vault rates. Vaults have always been used as loop extenders, and I think it's better for survivors to be forced to greed pallets and then have vaults to extend chases for the greed.

The problem is some killers just burn through pallets like crazy and there is not much more to do than just pre drop them :/

Quite a number of maps have 7-10 pallets. Anyone that just runs and drops pallets like crazy condemns whole team to loose if you are not playing on one of maps that only have pallets (the game, RPD).
Also I have no idea what you are talking about. In 2018 there were many more pallets then there are now. There are still youtube videos from that age if you need to refresh your memory

You are wild, people would greed the pallets no matter the number of pallets in 2018. I'm saying we need to drop pallet numbers again to encourage that gameplay. Also, for the maps that have 7-10 pallets, what are they made up of. Mainly vaults. Again showing my idea would work better and fix this God forsaken meta dbd has found itself in.

Not at all, people greed against all types of killers and it works very well. I think a streamer I know that does this incredibly well to prove my point is a survivor main names Mish. Def check them out.

That's quite risky and might get you downed preemptively, but sure it can work out...

Shelter Woods can spawn with 7-10 pallets and when they're gone the survivors are left with a flat barren wasteland with only a few vaults to delay the killer catching you.

Well idk. maybe it would be ok to reduce pallet count by 1 or 2 against pig.
But when I play wesker or bubba or twins or spirit - survivors already struggle and I usually (not always) win without any problems (ofcourse this does not apply on say garden of joy. But say wretched shop or wrecker's yard would be very hard even if survivors got +4 extra pallets).
But that's just my experience. Maybe you have different survivors.
