does anyone else experience survivors that warp to a different location from where you downed them?

I find this seems to happen frustratingly often where when i down a survivor, their body warps 5 or 6 feet away from where i actually downed them making me waste multiple seconds in confusion trying to locate the survivor i just downed, especially if there is grass around for them to be obscured by. I also literally just had a game where i downed a claudette and she LITERALLY disappeared from the entire area. It was an obvious spot to down her, nowhere for her to be not in sight, and there was not even any grunts of pain to help locate her, she was just gone. When i am downed, it doesnt appear to me that i warp away from the spot I was downed so i am unsure why a good portion of my downs the surv ends up not where i actually downed them. does anyone else experience this?

Every day and multiple times a game even, I just chalk it up to be on the Xbox, it plays like complete trash on it. I have just accepted that nobody cares and they are never going to fix it, I hope you are on PC and it gets better for you with an update or something.

Yes. On PC.
Its really only an issue on maps with lots of ground cover, like Pale Rose

Pretty sure this is the server resolving high latency, either the killer's, the survivor's, or both. I think what happens is on the killer's screen they see and register a hit, and the server says "yep, that's a down." Then the survivor's side says "ok, I'm down... btw this is my location on my screen here," and the server updates it.
If I'm the survivor, I can sometimes tell this is happening because I got downed by a killer that, on my screen, was nowhere close enough to hit me. Then the killer looks around on the ground for a few seconds to try and find me. I assume that's me "jumping around" on their end, even though on my screen my body hasn't moved at all.

On PlayStation 5 with good internet speeds. Yeah it’s a thing. It can be frustrating sometimes. Best of luck.

Yeah, I see that occasionally. The worse thing is when you hit someone, they go down, and then a couple seconds later the game goes "oh sorry actually they had endurance, so like, they weren't downed" and they teleport somewhere else and are already sprinting away
