Eruption isn't a problem
When you're incapacitated, you could always run to another gen or do something else until the timer runs out. Survivors could also improve their chasing a lot more than getting downed by the killer in 1 second.
This perk also has a cooldown of 30 seconds and the killer must kick the generator or it won't work. It's easily to deal with it not much like Dead Hard.

You can't repair another gen while incapacitated. Just the first sentence is enough to know that you don't know what you are talking about.
Eruption is a problem, because the duration of locking survivors out of action and the cooldown are basically the same. Meaning there's very little wiggle room to make progress against the perk unless the killer is just significantly worse than your team.

So do you play survivor at all, or...
23 -
If you run over to another gen the incapacitated effect has run out by then. Idk why you so mad.
5 -
80% of my matches are survivor so yes what seems the problem here?
3 -
When you are incapacitated you can do almost nothing except for unhooking other Survivors. Nothing else works, you cant even pick up Items. When you get hit by Eruption, you can just stand around for 25 seconds and do nothing.
The Cooldown is also laughable, it is barely longer than the time players are affected by Eruption.
Eruption is a bad Perk-Design and Incapacitated should be removed (except for things like Victor). There is nothing fun when you are unable to do anything as Survivor for minutes through out a match.

I'm not mad. I'm simply stating that your solution of "run to another gen to repair it instead" does not solve anything, because the status keeps you from working on any gen. And if we're just trying to buy time until the status wears off, then hiding near the gen accomplishes the same thing.

No, that's not true. Going to another gen = incapacitation is already gone. It solves everything.
3 -
Yep, Skill Issue. Because I am doing the Objective while another Survivor goes down while I have no idea when this happens and dont have any control over that.
22 -
You want the survivor to leave the gen with progress on it to go to a different gen that has no progress on it, because the status will wear off.
When you can just stay around the gen with progress on it and wait out the status.
You claim to play 80% survivor, but you really honestly don't know what you are talking about.

I think they’re trolling you. There’s no other explanation. Lol. Look at their latest response to you.
14 -
you can't be real...who sent u?
5 -
That's the point of asymmetrical games. I'm surprised that they haven't nerfed survivor aura perks because the killer doesn't know when they have it but at least you could figure out that he has eruption.
1 -
It's pretty much that people are making up excuses at this point. If people are now targeting this perk then what will be next in the chopping block? Can't wait to figure out (Overcharge and Call of Brine). It's literally skill issue from the survivors imho.
3 -
So we're essentially back to the old "work on other gens but also don't 3 gen" talking point?
10 -
Because you can't control Dead Hard. There are survivors who use automated scripts for dh and survivors who abuse latency.
1 -
3 gen is a valid strat idk what your point is?

You don't know what you're talking about Germia. Please play survivor.

???

Can you tell us how often you win against killers running Eruption + Call of Brine + another slowdown perk?

Another Eruption thread.
I might as well post in it while I wait for my incapacitation to wear off.
13 -
Eruption alone isn't bad, the problem is that killers run like 4 gen regression . Someone gets hooked and then you get scourge pain resonance, then Cob, eruption and deadmans switch . Then you can't even do gens anymore and you have to unhook teammates and stuff.
1 -
That gives the killer 90 seconds to find you, push you off the gen, kick the gen, trigger Eruption, and send you careening back to the previous gen, which has now regressed back to nothing to repeat the cycle. What you're suggesting isn't a solution.
And that's on top of the fact that survivors don't always have the liberty of just 'choosing another generator'. If two generators are right next to each other, one of the two, tactically, -has- to be done.

I got a warning from mods for saying same thing...

Don't let the brain rot get you to germia. Eruption is perfectly fine. Maybe lower it for 5 seconds or whatever to stop the whining.

I think he already has it. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, lol...

How so. Where is the problem with Eruption?
0 -
You just want to heal up instantly huh ?
0 -
Hey why not go hide for a few,it is a horror game
0 -
Uh... you can't do ANYTHING incapacitated, you can run, and crouch, and walk...tada
1 -
A good killer tends to utilize the tools given, same as good survivors but that's ok ,CoH doesn't even have a cool down wow!
0 -
How far away do you think gens are? Have you heard of 3 genning? There are gens that are literally like 2 feet away from each other
1 -
My comment never mentioned healing.
3 -
I know but it's what you'll do if not on a gen
0 -
Where's the whataboutism these are actual facts?
0 -
And I was responding to the suggestion of going to work on another gen. If you want to make a point Eruption is fine, then maybe address what I'm talking about instead bringing up something unrelated.
4 -
“Or do something else”. Like what???
2 -
Well that's the thing about freedom of choice and freedom of speech, he's given his opinion and gave mine

Because eruption isn't a problem, what's a problem is running resilience, leader, two socket swivels green and yellow tool boxes with or without charges added pretty much all of the new 2020-2022 perks survivors have received
0 -
People cry a lot about many things. There is no end to it. I have no problem with eruption either as survivor or killer. People are literally crying about a perk that can be completely outplayed by letting go of m1. Meanwhile survivors can just press E to extend a chase for at least the same length, if not longer on certain maps.
0 -
You've clearly not ever actually played against Eruption.
12 -
How does a solo player know when to let go of M1?
3 -
Eruption IS actually a huge problem.

A few days ago, I asked Otz about his opinion on Eruption. Mainly b/c he's considered to be a very good killer (amongst the best and most knowledgable) and often gives very fair/explained takes.
Here's his reply -

Your post shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the importance of time in DBD. Having multiple survivors unable to do anything multiple times in a match is absolutely catastrophic for solo teams in particular.
I am at the point where I know I can pretty much dismiss outright anyone who claims Eruption is not broken.
8 -
Having used eruption many times I can say the cooldown is an absolute joke. By the time you hook the survivor and walk back to check a gen the timer is usually up maybe there's 4-5 seconds left for you to wait out. It might as well not even have a cooldown with what it's at now.
Also "just run to a different gen" is such a bizarre suggestion because that doesn't actually accomplish anything. The fact is you can't do anything while incapacitated and not being able to play the video game just isn't fun and even worse it's just a perk that brutally punishes solos but is bearable in a SWF because you can tell people when you're about to go down so they can let go.
It's legit stronger than Pop ever was so if we nerfed Pop why would we not nerf Eruption? Pop was 25% Total regression when gens were 80 seconds so each Pop bought you 20 seconds which was very good. In comparison Eruption is 10% at 90 second gens so 9 seconds but on top of that 25 seconds of incapacitated if somebody was working on it so 34 seconds and then if nobody taps it before the incapacitated is up that's roughly another 6 seconds of progress lost so 40 seconds total which works out to a max of 44% possible regression on a gen and this can be applied to multiple gens at the same time. Perk is absolutely bonkers.
Oh and before someone goes and says that's best case scenario and on average it won't be that impressive let's say you only applied eruption to two gens and nobody was on them when eruption activated that's still 18 seconds of bought time which is only two seconds less than old Pop which was considered a top 3 killer perk if not the best killer perk when it was at it's peak.
7 -
You just wasted 25 seconds. Running to another gen doesn't solve anything. If Eruption just blocked the gen then it would be a solution.
2 -
This one sounds like a skill issue.
