Is there anything to be done about Incapacitated Stasus with Eruption?

Member Posts: 806

So when Eruption triggers, is all you can do stand there/run around doing nothing?

Just seems odd and nonsensical.

If you have Inner Healing, Built to Last or Flashbang you can at least find a locker and use those perks, but otherwise, there isn't much to do. Loop the killer I guess?

You can still unhook. You can use locker triggered perks like flashbang or built to last. You can take a chase or distract the killer. You can reposition to another gen. There's plenty of stuff you can do to benefit the team. Most people seem to just panic and run in circles or hide, but you don't have to. I get hit with it just like other people, but still find ways to be effective. If you wanna dodge it altogether, run empathy and watch the patterns of who's gettin chased. Then let go of the gen right before it looks like they're goin down. That one takes some practice, but it's doable.

The only thing you can still do while incapacitated are:

Open the exit gate and leave

    Leave through the hatch

    Drop pallets or vault

    Enter a locker

and I believe you should still be able to unhook other survivors

Incapacitated status effect isn't bad itself. Pinhead chains and Victor attached to a survivor incapacitate them which makes sense to prevent survivors from doing much when they have a means to remove the source inflicting it. But Eruption causing 25 seconds of it is a bit too much.

Yeah I'd rather more regression than incapacitated tbh. Only thing I actually dislike tbh as I physically cant do much sometimes and its abit boring. Wouldn't be so bad if it was just gens but sadly it's not.

Though I doubt some players even notice, some people really do nothing some games and just walk around and crouch without eruption forcing it lol

I’d leave Incapacitated on Eruption since it makes it unique, but lower it to 15 cause 25 is a little too much. Lower or remove the cooldown too.

Yes, it makes you incapacitated so you can't perform many actions besides jumping in a locker or unhooking.

I wish it did literally anything besides incapacitated. I want to play the game and do something, not just run around aimlessly.

    You can:

    • Get into a locker.
    • Attempt to interfere with the hook.
    • Scout.

The trick though is not to get hit by Eruption.

    With my sub-stand

I can finally get off the gen before someone goes down in Solo.

Yes, but if you are solo, you have no way of knowing the exact moment someone will go down. It's not like Pain Resonance, sadly.

You don't even need to know the exact moment the survivor is hooked for pain res. You can see the bar pause when picked up. Meaning you can easily let go anytime before the hook in the case you are blinded.

Sadly, this game cannot be balanced around solo players. It has to be balanced around SWF, because otherwise killers are completely hosed against these groups. Watching the Community Cups was...terrifying, in regards to how strong survivors still are - especially with Fogwise basically working as prenerf OoO in SWF without the downside.

Solos need some more tools to communicate, but it will, unfortunately, always be the sub-optimal way to play the 'team' role. Because it requires coordination.

I don't think you have to stand there, you could maybe hide because the killer is for sure coming over their, you could go search for a totem or chest idk there's also areas with writing on them that you could look at for the last 5 second's but I'm sure about time you find any of these things most likely the 25's would be up
