Every other game is simply not enjoyable
First it's the tunneling.
Second it's facing Killers who play from a different planet whose ping you can no longer see.
Third it's call of Brine and Eruption every second game.
Who do you think actually had fun here? This game went on for 22 minutes.

Well certainly not Wesker, since he only has 7...sorry.
Jokes aside, yes, those matches happen quite often and can gradually higher your levels of frustration when you get them in a row. When this happens i just take a break because keep playing can really drain you mentally.
Sometimes I get really nice/funny matches and jesus, the mental recovery is real lol.
Take a break because there's nothing you can do and is up to developers if they see the need of adressing these (we can give feedback obv)
I hope you get better matches now 👍

I feel you. The game is in a really bad spot right now. This is the least amount of time I've played as of late in the past 4 years. Awful meta and awful matchmaking.

Only every second game? I get cob erupt every game. 😂 But yea, survivor has been pretty unenjoyable as of late. Good thing I’m a killer main at heart..
A solution my SWF uses is purposely dying every match.. eventually you’ll start getting killers who don’t run cob / overcharge. It’s a nice break.

Been my experience as well and no longer fun like it was before. I find myself wanting to play less and less due to needing breaks after having being tunneled for every single match (not exaggerating) after playing for hours. If it's not tunneling it's dealing with the eruption thing.
My friend already quit and I don't blame them. Makes me sad to see this happening as dbd was so much fun for me before.

About the matchmaking, I've been watching Hens today while prepping for Christmas. I decided to play a match of Survivor because it's insanely cold in the kitchen. Got destroyed by the Killer. Turns out it was Hens and the chat was making note of how poorly I played. In my defense, I am Ash III Survivor right now and my controller has really bad drift which gets worse with the cold.

Eh...
Tunneling sucks, but - if you watch the recent community cup games - the only way for the killer to win a lot of the time is to get one person out as early as possible. I wish the game worked a bit differently, and there was some perk or viable way to spread the damage, but if you're looking to win and not get told to uninstall in postgame, trying to 2 hook everyone before killing anyone is seldom viable.
There's not much you can do about ping, but it cuts both ways. Trying to catch a survivor who seems to teleport around and is almost impossible to hook because they are playing from the Arctic isn't much fun either.
COB/Eruption - there will always be a meta. Before this, it was PR+DMS. Before that, Ruin+Undying. Eruption will almost certainly get nerfed down to Thana levels thanks to the forum complaints, and then it'll be something else - probably back to PR+DMS. And then people will complain about that, until it gets nerfed and the next meta emerges. On and on, ad infinitum.
In the same vein: it's no fun as a killer to load up a crazy meme build, only to get sent to Badham by a sweat squad who are at 1 gen after 4 minutes, then proceed to clown on you.
EDIT: Also - that game looked pretty damn close. Everyone but that Leon got a decent wodge of BP too.
Before...what?
Eruption probably needs some tweaks, but tunneling was much easier before the meta shakeup.
Aside from the current Eruption thing, I'd say that the perk meta is more varied than it ever has been on both sides.
Matchmaking can be pants at times, but ranks were so much worse.

I'd rather use other perks, but many other perks are way under tuned and most just bad. Let's push for lots of buffs to all the other under used perks to make them competitive.
The other issue is the game being designed where so many slow downs are required to make the match last as long as it should at base. We need map design addressed so that we can lower the strength of gen slow down to make it less necessary.

I'm seeing things different....
Progression VS. Regression- are two vary different things at this point
Maps some of them need to be bigger and others need to be smaller
And yes Perks are a question mark at this point... some are strong and other are weak

Which maps do you think need to be bigger? I can't think of a single one.
Whereas like 90% of the maps need to be smaller to varying degrees with 10% being just right.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. That's my #1 criticism with matchmaking. And it's kind of industry-wide right now. So many devs have gone to this constant engagement model of matchmaking that almost completely disregards match quality. They'd rather have someone be stomped and embarrassed than have two people wait in queue for 3 minutes. It's not a good long-term strategy for game health IMO.

Been playing a lot less myself. Just stale matches. People killing themselves on hook, D/Cing, going down in 10 seconds, killer running Eruption/CoB in most matches, tunneling & camping. Whether or not its effective doesn't really matter when it pushes people to just put the game down & take a break.
Game is in a horrible state right now (ironic that I popped by Tru3tal3nt's stream today and he claimed Solo que is in the best spot its been in awhile, lol). Don't really care about SWFs since they are not the majority of the playerbase. Solo que is just hell atm. You aren't alone in the suffering, friend.

It was just something I wasn't ready for. I've played a handful of matches over the last few weeks and my first match back is against a streamer with more than a thousand viewers at the time. He's really good, though, and plays creatively.
As far as the queue times, I too would rather wait a few minutes for a evenly-matched trial than just have fast lobbies. I play Fortnite, too, and they added bots to find quick matches but it's not the same game anymore.

It's exhausting, because there are many things that can go wrong: Tunneling, camping (aka 1 mistake and you're out of the game), teammates afk, suiciding on 1 hook or DCing (even if not on purpose), etc.
It's really annoying specially if you're trying to rank up.
