RE: Hit validation - Dev/Mod reply, please.
How does the game do hit validations, currently?

I've had interesting scenarios from both sides. Once, I swung at someone, before they even got to the window, and it didn't hit. As for the window things, there are 3 levels of vault speed for survs. 1 is slow vault, 2 is medium vault, which is a fast vault from a bad angle, which allows the killer to get hits, easier, even after you're on the other side, and 3 is fast vaults, which seems like killer can't hit, once the surv is inside the window frame, despite the logic saying it should, if it's killer sided validation. I'm looking for the answer, due to a debate.

I think it's currently disabled, I've been hit by a lot of things FAR away from windows, hatchets around 90 degree corners, etc.
If it's not disabled, then they made it so lenient as to not be useful.
I've also had way more instances of killers coming completely through a dropped pallet in the last few months.

i get hit on fast vaults all the time, even if i already running on the other side

AIUI, validation only takes place on pallet drops. There was validation for DH before 6.1.0 but I'm pretty sure there isn't now that the perk works differently.
I think increased player latency better explains the weird hits I've seen recently. I'm not sure why latency is so much worse recently, but it would pretty neatly explain everything I've observed.

1) The game checks if a killer should get a hit.
2) If the killer should get a hit, the game checks if it should forcibly yank the killer's camera.
3) The game checks again if the killer should get a hit.
4) If the survivor isn't in front of the killer's camera, because the game forcibly yanked the killer's camera, then the game denies the hit. This is how aim dressing steals hits from the killer.

I think you're talking about the swing cone autoaim, that's not the same as hit validation.

DH works by who hit e/m1 first based on the server confirmed by peanuts, so it does not prioritize either side. Previous DH validation was you had to be a single cell organism to get hit through it. DH literally got better the worse the survivors ping was.
