Good changes but still easily the best killer in the game. I'm interested to see what the addon nerfs are. Especially to the recharge addons. Those need a fat nerf considering how strong the nurses power already is.

Nvm i found out ,,I'm scared of what to expect on nurse cuz they can't ever find the fine line between nerf and nerf into oblivion,,,But why the F there is no eruption nerf ?

this doesnt really change her power level, nurse players will just run quad slowdown every game now

Is this really worse than being slugged at five gens by an exposed build nurse with 7000 hours?

Blink attacks being special attacks is BS, by the way. The Nurse literally can't attack normally, because she's slower than Survivors.
So it's more BHVR giving Survivors what they want while not even thinking about how the nerfs work in a real gameplay setting in the slightest. Kind of like how they nerfed her Blink to begin with, while forgetting (or ignoring) that it's not only her offensive power, but also how she moves around the map.

Not at all the case, I wanted Nurse to be nerfed so I can play her again as I got good enough that it felt unfair and I stopped playing her.
I am not sure these changes will nerf her that much though as I can send myself to Lery's with a Matchbox (1 blink) and I have not lost a match as far back as I can remember with just 1 blink.
But the changes making Starstruck non-viable are a good start as that was just broken BS

Still the best killer in the game just much less BS although I imagine this will have the spirit effect of all the Nurse "mains" suddenly vanishing even though the killer is still strong. Expect a lot more Blight now.

She needed more. Sure, starstruck nurse won't be a thing anymore but they'll just switch to 4 slowdowns which is just as bad.

To be honest, its nice to see no more NOED and Starstuck/Agitation Nurses. Its something. Lets see what the addon-changes are.

The fact is Nurse doesn't need access to exposed perks. Why is it bad that she can't use them?
If you -really- want to run them, you've got Spasmodic Breath that makes them more viable I guess?

If it puts an end to Starstruck Nurse then I am happy. She also cannot capitalize on devour hope, Noed, Haunted Grounds etc with her blink attacks.

Sadly this is what I feared - some half-baked changes which do not address that Nurse is a really outdated design and should not exist in this state anymore. And sadly the Devs are too scared to change that.
On a slight positive note - I did not use Starstruck or anything and play her without Add Ons. The only thing changing for me would be that the sound queue might be annoying.
Nurse still deserves a complete Rework. Not some Nerfs which dont change that she is by far the best Killer in the game.

The only issue I may see here is the sound notification of the blink recharge.
The rest doesn't affect me. Most of the time my builds were with only Franklin so ... :p

Which translate to, when she downs and hook around 4 times all gens are probably gonna pop.. She will be an M1 killer that have to deal with third health state without any instadown, and we all know what that means. She needed changes but this is killing her completely, they should at least reduce the blink recharge speed to compensate or not take away the range addons.

Don't celebrate until the patch is out or atleast the patch notes. But good that they finally started looking into her.

The experienced Nurse will manage, so will the nut-jobs wanting to learn her at all costs.
The others will not play her at all or simply lose.
I'm curious to see how much that notification will affect the chases though. It may be the true killing blow.
... I may burn the thousands of range/recharge add-ons I've never used before they disappear forever/

This will change little to nothing. Survivors will still complain about her, simply because they can't run her in circles like other killers.

no we didnt. this nerf was made with a ton of fear they didnt touch the green distance addon either recharge addons at all, this was a nerf yes but it wont change much AT ALL. they will need to nerf her again not in a long time.

Because it's not only exposed perks. Think of EVERY perk that does not proc on special attacks:
- Franklin's (But Survivors will claim this is 'fair' because of course they will)
- Jolt is no longer useable on her
- No more Knock Out (It says 'basic attack' right on it)
- Can't use Save The Best For Last, since it says 'Each time you hit someone other than your obsession with a basic attack'
- Can't use Sloppy Butcher
- No more Unrelenting
Sure, not all of them are USEFUL on Nurse, but I bet dollars to donuts the devs did not even think of this list before this change. Just like they did not think of the fact that the Nurse uses her power to move around when they gutted it awhile back.

So? Who cares if the strongest killer in the game can't reliably use a bunch of perks? She doesn't need them. Yes, it does suck there are some non-exposed perks that she wont be able to use now, but I think Nurses will manage without Unrelenting and Knock Out.
And as I mentioned, you can still run Spasmodic Breath if you wanna use some of those perks.

From my understanding, the Nurse player will get a notification when all Blinks are back (similar to Trappers moaning when he has all Traps in his hand).
"Next, we’ve added a new sound cue when The Nurse has fully regenerated all her blink charges. This way, you’ll know when you’re ready to blink again without having to keep an eye on the corner of your screen."
So IMO at worst it will be annoying for some time.

It's strictly untrue that Nurse can't M1 normally. Her lunge is very strong for closing distance if she manages to mindgame a player. Holding W away from a tile is asking to get hit. Staying within the tile means not using your faster movement speed.
The special attack nerf was 100% justified. Nurse has the single strongest chase power in the game, tying it to a basic attack was moronic. Exposed, sloppy, jolt, none of these should work, especially in an age where NOED, starstruck, devour, dragon's grip, and other similar things exist. Basekit nurse is already one of the strongest killers in the game, she needs little in terms of extra help. In fact, Spirit should be next for the special attack treatment. Imagine if Blight attacks worked with Exposed.
Also, even Range getting nerfed is overdue. Yes, even with her blinks, her aggregate speed is "slower" than 4.6. However, her blinks let her take a straight line path to her destination, regardless of obstacles. This alone makes her much more efficient at map traversal than any other killer, save for Blight on some maps.

Clearly Survivors don't care, and the devs have shown that's all that matters; What Survivors want.

Survivors are content that Nurse is being thoughtlessly gutted a second time. Even the thread title shows it.

Why does it matter that Nurse has to plough through all 2/3 health states when she can already do so in under 20 seconds anyway? An M1 killer will take 40-60 seconds to catch up after each hit, Nurse can do it in 5 seconds.

You don't need Starstruck or any exposed perks on Nurse to win. She is a killer who ignores pallets, windows, walls etc. She will never translate to an M1 killer.

As a console player, I'm already resolved to never play Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Trickster or Deathslinger, and even Plague is a task sometimes.

Thats not a realistic nurse chase at all, unless the survivor have 10 hours in the game.
