Last Survivors with 0 Hooks Should Have a 1st hook phase

So this is an entirely unfair thing that I've noticed in the game. I run Deliverance almost every match, and I've had this happen to me at LEAST four times. I save someone, I have deliverance LOCKED and ready. As the match goes on all my friends get hooked or die or have escaped at doors. So its bottom of the ninth now, I have 0 hooks, my friends are all dead/and or no longer in game and its JUST me and the killer and I HAVE DELIVERANCE.

But when the game senses that its JUST one killer and one survivor, it immediately kills me with 0 dance to use my Deliverance when the killer hooks me. I think its really unfair and is something that needs to be worked on. Even if I didn't have deliverance, if its my FIRST hook I still deserve that 4% chance to escape myself off the hook.

The fact that the game just forces you to die despite it being your first hook, WITH DELIVERANCE OR WITHOUT is bs. I think its something that needs to be patched in, to allow a survivor that 1st hook phase even when they're the last survivor left. 4% is still 4% and when you have Deliverance, READY, and you HEAR HATCH nearby it absolutely RUSTLES MY JIMMIES that I'm instakilled on 1st hook when I had a guaranteed escape.

I mean, if you dont have any hook yet and knowing your teammate is in chase. You should attempt to take hook for them.

Deliverance need a buff though, I want my teammates know I have the perk activated so they can ignore me and do Gens.

I should take the hook?--I have literally done that. I had 0 hooks, and the gates were being opened. I distracted the killer and I let myself get caught, and what did my team do? They all ESCAPED out the gate, and LEFT ME. But I had Deliverance. Did I get a chance to use it? NO. And I should have. But because they all left, I was instakilled.

Theres so many reason you may be the last one in the game--someone DC'd/Quit, someone Escaped before you got hooked--however it happened, IF you are the sole survivor and IF you get hooked for the first time you should be granted that 4% or a chance to use your delivernace.

I mean if there is at least a teammate in trial (that not on hook), it will not skip you the attempt. Unless they escape before you getting hooked, which in some case its understandable that they afraid of Blood warden, especially if EGC is below 50%.

Those cases are rarely happen though.

Its not as rare as you think. Ive had it happen at least twice to me tonight. This horror game gives us several perks and fucntions purely as a last-ditch god send chance. WHY don't they give us this chance to unhook ourselves if we're the last ones? Its the final chance and tehy dont even give us that chance.

I think you should die instantly, to be honestly. As @Crowman said it just draws the game out.

I agree an exceptional should be made for Deliverance. You should get like a 15 second window.

You gotta give'em the 15 seconds!

    Where's the leeeeeway?!

unless your literally by the gate, no sense, they will just wait 10 seconds and hit u down

not like ds didnt save 200 million times survivors before the nerf close to the gate... this is the same, it would help taht survivor massively is a free getaway card if u are close to the gate and dont get bodyblocked by the killer.

    It does sound silly.

However, I do understand why it works that way. I don't know how many hits on hook a killer can fit during a first phase, and they'd have pretty much nothing else to do but bm at that point.

HOWEVER, survivors who get skipped their second phase because they're the last to die should get their 900 struggle phase points. Right now they're punished for being the last to be caught. Make up a "Last one to die" score event or something, as to not get robbed of bp.

Not always as a lot of time the killer is already going to another area hoping the hatch spawns so they can close it or looking for pallets to break.

No, let the match end when it is over, if you wanted value out of Deli you should have taken a chase.

But, for solo queue, it is a crime that there is absolutely zero indicator of an active deliverance when someone is on hook. That should absolutely be added to the status HUD if someone is on hook. And unbreakable if they're downed, etc.

they are not going to do that once they know that u have a chance to escape tho

I feel like they should allow you to attempt escape, but if you don't perform all 3 within ~15 seconds it auto kills you (and gives yoh all struggle points) so that it doesn't lead to cases where people just sit on the hook to drag out a game where they've lost.

1 has been changed. Basekit BT happens no matter how you are unhooked. That 10 second 10% haste and Endurance gives you plenty of room to reach the hatch or gate, if the killer smacks you, its an additional 2.7 seconds with 50% haste on top of that.

2 is a good reason tho, but easy middle way: give 10 seconds for the survivor to unhook themselves. That is enough for 3 tries or for 1 deliverance. If the survivor doesnt try in those 10 seconds, end the game.

So lets say you escape hook as last person alive. What then? Chances are the killer hasn't gone far and is just going to knock you right back down and put you back on the hook. Allowing the last person to escape the hook would essentially do nothing other than make the game last longer than it should, cause it was essentially already over.

But they do that because they know you cant KOBE, when the game didnt instantly kill you Killers lingered around to avoid last guy self-unhooking, if the change was reverted Killers would start to linger again.

    Complete waste of time.

That's more an issue with your teammates. Good survivors would have at least waited to let you try and unhook before leaving.

Really no reason to allow you to self unhook at the end of the game. If anything it'll be more inclined to make killers bleed you out since you clearly wanted to be in the game longer.

If you have 0 hook states and your team is dying you should take aggro .,even go down on purpose to give them some space and help instead of waiting to use deli in endgame

Survivors can also wait in the exit gate, because they desperately want to teabag killer.

There's still ways both sides can waste each other times. I don't think other methods existing means we need to bring back old methods.

It's just unnecessarily progressing the game at that stage. Another brief chase isn't worth the killer standing around waiting for the final survivor to either 4% or just hang there and waste time if they so choose to. And I say this as a survivor main who also enjoys Deliverance on occasion. Though I prefer to get value through the game, as it can save the team time from having to unhook me.
