You can already chose when to use Sprint Burst by picking when you run.

Why ever use lithe if you could just use sprint burst and activate it after a window for lithe effect or at any time for the free sprint burst.
Would literally make lithe obsolete and sprint burst OP

Sure.... First let the killer chase you for 10-15sec, and when hes short before reaching you, you speed away. Because thats what the game needs, longer chases...

On the other hand, if there is ONE perk that would need this kind of option, it is balance landing.
Please understand that I say this ironically.
What balance landing needs most of all is to have a REAL grasp of its environment.
Just last week :
Me: falling several feet
My balance landing: "Actually ... no, scr** you."
Still me (shortly thereafter): falls from a height equivalent to 2 stairs ... oh, actually, I was REALLY on a staircase.
My balanced landing: "OH MY GOD ... A FALL ... INITIALIZATION OF THE PROCESS ... STARTING THE MUSCLE MODIFICATION ... SETTING UP THE NEW SURVIVOR SYNERGY ... IMMEDIATE IGNITION ... BANZAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ..."

Managing sprint burst is the only skill cap the perk has. Why remove that?

If Sprint burst had that buff it would literally be the most broken exhaustion perk in the entire game and it would be the number 1 best perk in the game.

You know, Survivors can do that without the need of a action button; it is all called 99% of your exhaustion status effect while running and then you can simply walk or stop for a second and start sprinting away. Good Survivors can do this but letting their recovery on exhaustion be made, especially in chase and simply wait for it to go 99% and hold onto it by running normally. It not like running also slowly gain back bit a exhaustion at a time while constantly running.

yeah but drawback is walking around/not having the perk active for when the killer chases you. bringing back old DH in form the form of SB.

I won't say it's a bad idea. Guys, we are here to discuss and propose such ideas.
You just need to level up the Overcome perk as it's useless at the moment, all perks give 3-4 speed bonuses and it's only a measly 2 seconds, although you need to lose health to implement it, it's too expensive.
Devs just buff the Overcome perk then survivors will have a perk that can be similar to sprinting but works differently.

the auto activation is what balances sprint burst. Every boost exhaustion perk in the game is the same but with a different requirement. Lithe is windows, balanced landing is falling, smash hit is stunning the killer. Sprint burst is the only one that is always available, and so it's balance by being automatically activated by running.

Press the Active Ability button while running to break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running movement speed for 3 seconds.
Just learn to 99 it.

Sprint Burst has worked the same way for 6 years and is perfectly fine. Nobody would use Lithe if Sprint had a trigger button.

Overcome is fine - I use it all the time. It makes you vulnerable to tunneling because you have to heal. Also you have to "waste time" healing to use it.

So long as there is a short 0.5-1s “ready-set-go” animation preparing for a sprinting start, to lessen the effect in loops.

This perk requires you to be a "hard chase". You use this perk to force a hit to help keep other allies from being tunneled. Block the Killer's path so they are forced to hit you. Quite often this can help an ally stay alive for 30-40 seconds. The rest of the team might finish the last generator in that time.
Better yet if the killer ignores tunneling your friend and now chases you so you get hooked for the first time near the end of the game.
One of the reasons I almost always bring Bamboozle is because Lithe is so popular. You can close windows and force people to take "bad vaults" to trigger Lithe so they don't really get very far. If there is only one vault you can entirely prevent the perk's use sometimes.

I talked about the "Overcome" perk, in addition to fatigue, you still need to heal. And if the killer has a noed or some other one-hit perk, then the "Overcome" perk does not work at all. Compare it to other fatigue perks and tell me if it's useful? It only gives +2 seconds when other perks give 3-4 seconds of haste.

Overcome is better than sprint burst , BL or Lithe and worse in others. That makes it just about perfect.
To make Overcome shine you have to heal yourself quickly several times per game and take hits for allies in chase. This lends to a different style of play but it can be much stronger for team play than say just having sprint burst - which largely speaking never makes the killer miss because we all know what a walking survivor means.
