Personal favourite addons
Somewhat low effort post but despite all you hear about people praising perks and powers it'd be nice to listen to some add-ons to get some love too. I'll give 3 of my favourites to start this off with:
- Call to Arms for the Knight: Many people claim that holding w leaves the knight without a power and although true for what may be considered your level 1 knight strategy of dropping the guard at a tile this addon can open up many new options, especially when combined with Map of the Realm (extra detection range). Your power acts like a sudo-spirit phase and although you can't see survivors and they can see you a good ear for footsteps and injured noises make it very strong. Extra range with speed makes it very hard to dodge and not get hunted, at which point the knight becomes favoured in a chase.
- Amanda's Secret for the Pig: I like being able to have information from my power and an addon that can give me that is nice. Not only does this addon give you information it tells you where trapless, previously hooked survivors are allowing you to be very efficient with wasting the survivor's time while being efficient with your hooks. Not seeing boxes can hurt but I find good game sense and experience can substitute for this, especially on more open maps. Having this additional information allows you to run fewer information perks and alongside the Pig's inbuilt slowdown enables more chase-heavy builds which is a nice play style to use.
- Blood Amber for the key: When combined with the addons available keys become my favourite survivor item due to the unique utility they provide. Blood Amber's ability to read the killer's aura is useful both in a chase to win mind games or generally as a way to keep track of the game in solo queue. The initial start-up to using it makes it more interesting to use as you need to use it when you think you're going to need it rather than when you need it. The only issue is keys without addons are rather bland but this addon itself is very fun either way.
I'd like to hear some other people's favourite addons as I think it's an aspect of the game people don't talk about enough or gets enough discussion as a fun area of the game.

I love Video Tape myself. I really love to bring Video Tape and Crate of Gears, then get a 4K using only those addons, no perks. Sure, I bring perks, but... if I get a 4K before the last generator is completed, well.... Blood Warden, No Way Out, Remember Me, and Terminus mean I had no perks that came into play. So fun.

Dark sunglasses for Wesker. It is so much fun just scaring survivors as Mastermind since he is so silent

I forget the names of some but:
Dotcor's add on that creates illusory pallets for mad survivors. It's always funny as hell watching someone run for a pallet loop and have the pallet disappear just before you down them 🤣
Wraith coxcomb clapper. I love stealth plays and making people jump. Nothing like silently uncloaking and dropping a surv round a corner.
But by far my fave is driving licence for ghostie. Blowing up a gen by marking a surv is one of my favourite things to do. Especially if we're doing a custom pm voice comms 🤣 so funny scaring my mates. And it's mad good regression lol.

A) Unicorn Medallion for Wesker. I love the modified Bound range as it gives a different approach to many loops.
B) Lion Medallion for Wesker. Yeeeeeet!
C) Mirror Shard for Myers. This addon helps me a lot to mindgame or cut off the survivor in indoor maps. No one expects it. And if you pair it with Dead Rabbit, your TR is so small that people who use Distortion have a hard time regenerating tokens as long as you are outside of EWIII.
D) Wooden Horse (I think) for Nurse. The one addon that basically removes the complete fatigue for missed blink attacks. For some meh Nurse like myself this one is pure gold. If I remember correctly it will be nerfed in the upcoming patch.
E) Tombstone Piece for Myers. Yes, I like it, but rarely use it. Nothing feels better than to mori annoying survivors when they buttdance in your face.

I used a complete build with it. Ninja Wesker.
Dark Devotion, Tinkerer, Plaything and Monitor & Abuse with the glasses and that addon which makes them get more passive infection.
I used it on Lèry's multiple times and often survivors said later that it was really scary to sit on a Gen and then only hearing Wesker chuckle before getting yeeted across the room one moment later.

Freddy's Dreams pallets are the funniest addon for me, almost useless 80% of the time but when they work it's Amazing
Legion's mural sketch because Is so fun to use hyper Speed
The knight Iri Company Banner because...well no One expect the mini Blood warden

1. Severed Hands and Silver Bell for Artist. It can be chaos when survivors are grouped together or stay together, which can be pretty fun. Adding the Silver Bell addon with it makes it just as fun.
2. Boat Key for Dredge. I like how fast it makes them and it's a helpful tool out of Nightfall.
3. Iridescent Videotape + Damaged Photo for Sadako. Damaged Photo is a lot of fun to use on it's own, but with Iri Tape it makes it 10 times better.

1. Compound 23 - I am not a good Blight myself and Compound 23 makes Blight much easier since on complicated loops you can just delete the god pallet and continue the chase. It is just so satisfying.
2. Flask of Bleach - This is how Clown should have always been. His slowdown without this add-on is awful and it actually makes his bottles satisfying to play.
3. Iridescent Stone - Trapper without this add-on is just painful. He already takes so much time to set up on the early game only for a survivor to follow him and disarm all his traps. This add-on guarantees that he won't have to waste crucial time resetting his traps.

I like to run Lightweight Greaves and Cold Steel Manacles on Knight. The Greaves essentially gives him the buffs the devs gave him on PTB, except the speed is noticeable, lasts for 6 seconds flat, and you don't have to have a minimum path length to get it. The Manacles just let you get that boost more often.
I also like Rusted Spike and Honey Locust Thorn together on Deathslinger. They essentially allow me to bring Sloppy Butcher via addons, and apply mangled whether or not I actually get the m1 on a spear shot.
Iridescent Videotape is kinda a gamechanger on Onryo. Its easy to activate its effects, which greatly increases your map mobility/pressure.
Any of the Legions mixtapes are awesome, just cause changing your TR music via addons is honestly the coolest thing ever.

I really haven't ran alch ring + green speed since 6.1.0. often but it truly is the most fun I can have in this game.
Rush = peak fun
Alch ring = more rush
Green speed = faster rush
I know a lot of people despise alch ring which is fine, but man is it fun. Although adrenaline vial changes blights base kit significantly and is also fun once in a while.

Newspaper + cabin sign for Onryu just to be sneaky and have tvs come back on faster quite a broken combo for gen pressure.
Legion pin is a fun one too just for that 30s broken status. Can pretty much hold a group hostage if you run it with the smiley pin for mangled.

Flashlights feel weird without them. For years I pretty much only used battery addons, thinking the rest were meh for some reason. But I usually use one of these + a battery addon now. Both given 25% range to the flash, which is great.
Also, I really like the Purple Flash + Broken Bulb + Odd Bulb. All together they increase the flash duration by 70%. Managing to get a chain flash or 2 with this is... amazing.

A bit necro but only just read this, you do realise how bad of an idea this is? Like every search. So if you need 4 searches with an active trap, after each one the killer knows where you are and what you doing to make removing the trap impossible and force a head pop. Given a large map and 4 searches, you need very little input to force a pop and this gives you so many good opportunities to do so. I agree it's not the strongest option on the strongest killer but this would be kinda unfair.
Ngl I've seen this and it's very goofy. Have you ever had someone miss a skill check getting off the box when you're approaching, I'd want to dc after that sounds like bs but good cheese.

Amanda's secret isn't worthy of being a purple addon atm, I've used it for a fair few games trying to get value from it, and I'm not getting it. It needs a good buff, it hides the boxes, so you don't know where their next location is.
All they have to do to not get injured is hit the skillcheck
