blastmine 6s stun instead of 4s ?
Just a quick thought. before eruption was buffed to 25s incapacited, it was 16s instead. It seemed to me like blastmine was a counterpart to eruption as the stun effect duration was 4x less than the incapacited one of eruption (which is logical because 4 survs and 1 killer so it's understandable that the killer's perk lasts 4x as long 16/4=4). Now that eruption is 25s, shouldn't blastmine also last 6s to be more in line with eruption (25/4=~ 6s). I don't think it would make blastmine too strong because you still need to do a lot of gen progress to get one and most of the time the killer has other priorities than kicking the gen. It will probably still remain a niche perk but at least it will have a more meaningful impact than in its current state.

Anyway - argument that eruption already does this is bad argument. Eruption is overtuned. That's also why it's going to be changed. And while I agree that 6s of blast mine would still probably don't do enough to be meta perk, there's still a good reason not to buff it. The sheer amount of annoyance people will get from it means, that even current 4s feels like eternity (even if from game's perspective the perk is pretty meh).

The bigger difference is that Blast Mine is inactive until earned, can only affect one generator at a time, and times out after 60s whether it's used or not.
If you're looking for similarities, Eruption needs some kind of restriction to when the perk is available, not a buff to blast mine. Being effectively always available to use makes it oppressive, which is what would also happen if you removed these restrictions from blast mine. (Although reverting the uncalled for blast mine nerfs would be nice).
But yes, these are the only two perks in the game that can remove a character from normal gameplay without direct interaction with another player.

If you know eruption is a problem and irrelevant to this discussion, why even mention it? It's obviously problematic and needs changing. There's no need to compound unpleasant things in the game just because there are already unpleasant things.

Nah. Blast Mine's stun is fine as is. Eruption being OP isn't a valid excuse to buff a different perk.

that's under ideal conditions. It's the same as saying eruption stops the gen progress by 120,75s on each trigger...
