Hello, i am curious, developers are balancing the game but i think there are still big problem like discord and SWF why do people need 3nd party softwares for play? And doesnt it give slightly adventages to swfs? and solo queue disadventage? why developer doesnt directly add voice communication in game?

No, and i even know fellow fanboys gonna demonize me becuase i tell this but isnt it cheat? That even isnt part of game. You don't need third party programs to play a game, so, it's, obviously, being used to gain the advantage, rather than to talk to your friends., i hope you got what i mean

The developers have said repeatedly that it is not cheating and does not give a significant advantage in the majority of cases.

They have already improved the survivor hud with plenty of info. What else do you need? Killer that can't move? Gens that get done in a single m1 click? What do you want? I'm legit curious.

if you didn't notice, they added a HUD to tell you what the other survivors are doing, specifically to start closing the gap between solo queue and SWF

Saying voice chat does not give a significant advantage is very disingenuous tbh, if they did say that.
I think voice chat should be in the game itself, like other team games.
They would just have to police the toxicity like other games do and I think they reason they won’t is because toxicity is a large part of DbD content, and they’re worried stopping that in a meaningful way would hurt player numbers and it’s popularity with people who just play the game to be toxic.

Fanboys are reading what they want only, i never told developers said its illegal, they just dont want lose huge of playerbase, but does ist change anything? if its ok why they dont add it as "PART OF GAME" so you accept there were unbalance between swf and solo as you say we can see what others do right? just few weeks ago but before?

its possible for example; by adding voice communication in game and there should be an option like " playing with swf" On-Off .
but developers dont want it too because they must change whole of balance in game , so new system are also good but however swf still need discord ( ofcourse for chating with friends nothing more )

Hence why most games either have it built in or a substitute in Form of an extensive ping system or, in case of most competitive eSports titles, even both.
My comment was aimed at bhvrs unwillingness to implement general voice chat.
"But people bhave like aholes in voice chat" - then mute them (not your words specifically but it's the general "counterargument"). It's the only option in every other mainstream game like rainbow six siege or overwatch. Also language barrier is another point but that's also the same for all games and not a problem to keep VC out of them.
Just like playing team games solo, opting out of built in voice chat is a disadvantage people have to choose and accept and shouldn't be the standard that can be circumvented with external 3rd party software.

Well the topic has come up countless times over the years and I am afraid the devs won't do anything.
It is just way easier to declare it as fair and drop the issue altogether.
If killer don't stop playing to make their point clear nothing will change.

And yes, it's a team based game and communication grants a distinct advantage for the side that uses it. With the big difference that DBD as an asymmetrical game denies it to the one man side, while also not balancing for it.
When i play with my team and communicate in rainbow six siege or league of legends, you can bet that as soon as we coordinate we can sometimes even make hard comebacks only thanks to our organization thanks to voice chat.
And DBD wouldn't be any different, except the killer side not being able to ever gain this additional advantage.

Because every swf is a pretend comp team and you only face those. There's also no way to control your mmr to get the kind of games you want. What a predicament.
Coms are not the issue. The issue is that you either don't know how to pick your fights or you're just not as good as them.
Coms don't help you if you're bad. So coms cannot be what you complain about. I think this is why they brought bots into the custom lobby. You should consider giving that a try sometime.

My guy, in 5 years of playing this game I have not used coms even once.
But people maybe use coms because, idk, they enjoy talking with their friends while they play together? Wild, I know.

I'm a killer main and coms are not that strong. If 4 people can loop well it's gg no matter if they have coms or not.

Scott jund did a vid on it a while ago and while communication can give an advantage, it's more about just having a team that plays to the same strategy.
Think about it this way, if you are a super stealther and get matched with a team that works by efficiently trading off hook states to get through the match, you arent going to work as well with that team because you are playing into a different strategy. If that same player is matched with a whole stealth based team, they will probably have better results even without comms.
As to voice chat in the game itself there are several issues. Language barriers can make it ineffective, especially in a strategic situation you have no idea if people cant hear you because they have it turned off, cant understand you because of language, or just arent listening to you in general. It can actually be worse than useless if you think people can hear you when they cant, plus you will have players who bully and sandbag players who dont use chat.
As to the issue of policing voice chat it gets much more complicated with retaining all the chat logs and having to review full game chats for reports. They could barely police the very limited endgame chat, hence the ridiculous chat filter.

If I'm understanding it correctly, people want voice chat in dbd to close the gap between swf and solo so you can buff Killers. Maybe I'm to pessimistic, but because of #########, language barriers (I'm in central europe and looking at my friends who play dbd I can say that their english skills vary a lot), people who don't like voice chat and the awful matchmaking I doubt that voice chat would close the gap between swf and solo.

It's impossible to stop people using 3rd party software to chat. It gives a big advantage though. Idk why they don't just add voice chat for everyone. And before people start carping on about toxicity, that's what mute buttons are for. It's an unfortunate presence in all online gaming. But one we live with in pretty much every single multiplayer online game.

What makes you believe that I want to hear you breathe heavily into a dollar store mic while telling me exactly how my mother feels from the inside after I come home from a hard day of work and just want to play a few chill games.

Oh, I always have some hope that even the most stubborn people realize that they are wrong. :)
You can even run an experiment - take 3 people and play with them for 2 hours on Comms and then play with them 2 hours not on Comms. And you will roughly have the same results (you can even throw in some Map Offerings each time to try to remove a bit of RNG).
Main strength of SWF is removing the RNG of your teammates. 4 strong players together are the strong thing about SWF, not them being able to talk to each other.

Yes, premade groups do. But randoms and even friends that don't have discord or TS installed can use the in-game voice chat without any bigger inconvenience.
And I am from Germany and did and didn't have problems to play with a random spanish team with questionable English during a clash tournament in lol or with people from a dozen countries in R6S.
And you can't use jerks as a counterargument. They are everywhere and can be blocked/muted most often and I also had my fair share of screamers/music/noise blasters.
Since you CAN'T stop people from using a third party program, you have to balance as if EVERYONE is using it. You balance for the highest POTENTIAL that open for everybody. Using it is a whole other thing.
At least that's how all the games with proper matchmaking balance their games.

I was thinking about that before and... Imagine what you see sometimes on the end game chat, but EVERYTIMES in game by the voice chat... People gonna be soooo more toxic, using maybe strong sound, music, just crying or yelling when ... When just because this person live, not even because some reason...
If BeHaviour make that happen, just give him in custom party, not in actual match, you gonna just making everything like hell...

The solution for all of this is for BHVR to add voice chat to the game (maybe proximity like F13 used) and then balance around that.

Not everybody takes this game as serious as you seemingly do. I sure as hell do not ever want to converse with anyone here over coms. I just don't care. Drop your mmr if you feel like games are getting too tough for you.
I play often and I have no such complaints. Either when playing killer or soloQ survivor.

Voice chat in DBD... Great. Imagine all the racial slurs you'll get to hear through a microphone that sounds like a broken vacuum.
They could add other means of communication and I'd be fine with that but a voice chat is not probably not the right idea in a game that some people take so serious.

Which is why we should see after the match who was in a SWF with whom. We would see that most SWFs don't play any better then other random groups and that a lot even take extra risks due to altruism for their friends. But it would also help with the killers after care after a brutal stomp if they could at least take solace in the fact that they got stomped by a 4 man SWFs that was probably well coordinated.... or take some extra heap of salt when all four were soloQs :)

I'm in Western Australia, and per my server I get matched with a lot of players in Asian regions. How would proximity chat help me if we don't even speak the same language? Not to mention this is a game where sound is very important to survivors (ie terror radius, Myers breathing, Ghostface cloak, Wraith's gurgle, Hex totem crackling, etc etc) so I actually feel it would detrimental to me as a solo player to have random players going off in my ear constantly.

Tbh it's more along the lines that BHVR can't or don't want to because games could have so many different players of different languages that unless they separate players by region the language barrier would be atrocious.....heck there are folks who speak English that I can barely understand sometimes on Rainbow Six Seige....

But still rainbow has it and it works and gives a huge edge over people that don't want to use it.
I see it everytime with my "squad" of forever bronze/iron friends in lol when we manage to beat teams of average silver/gold/plat just by listening to my calls and focusing our actions.
