Hello my friends welcome to another session if perk rework

So we all know boil over is a now terribly designed perk. It either does very little or is very much overpowered in the right circumstances. And we can't outright buff any aspect of the perk now because it will be overpowered. So it's best to rework it and I have an idea

You are a battler and do everything to escape a foe's grasp.

While being carried by the Killer, the following effects apply

  • Increase the recovery from missed attacks by 50%
  • Decrease the killers movement Speed while carrying a survivor by 5%
  • Obscure the auras of hooks from within 14/16/18 meters of the killer

I think this idea is more balanced but it's still overpowered we could tune some of the numbers. But I think this idea is way better then the current version.

What is your opinion on this rework idea

    I think this is a neat idea. I like the aspect of the perk increasing how much the killer seats while you’re wiggling, so I’d just replace the part where dropping increases wiggle progression with this.

    To be fair, though, I don’t think it’d do a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but I like it when perks change. Keeps them interesting.

    Yeah It probably won't do much but it's just something different then the mess we have now.

    That's not overpowered at all. If anything, I'm questioning whether that might be too weak.

    Assuming no Agitation in play, and excluding potential impact of the survivor struggling on the maximum possible travel distance (which would affect both of these results similarly):

    Killer's default carrying speed = 3.68m/s * 16 seconds = 58.88m

    3% penalty to carrying speed = 3.68 (1 - 0.03) = 3.5696m/s * 16 seconds = 57.11m

    And fwiw, maybe that's a good thing that the perk doesn't affect that very much. But I don't think this is overall necessarily stronger than the current version.

    The attack cooldown penalty would increase the cooldown from 1.5s to 2.25s. Which is fine. And would technically be an indirect buff to Mad Grit because it would counter that entirely so I like that.

    Well with those numbers Mayne it's best to lowee the movement speed by 5% instead of 3%
