You wiggle because it stops the killer from going across the map to hook you wherever they want.
That has always been the point.
What is the point of wiggling atm?

No points, nothing. Other than (trying) prevent a special hook, what is the point, considering so many hooks around in the map, wiggling makes now less sense than ever

I’ve heard it’s bugged. Killers aren’t really affected by the sway and it’s still supposed to give survivors BPs. But idk they’re treating it as a shadow buff (which it kind of is), similar to the mangled glitch. Devs are aware because Mandy asked about it a few days ago.

This
The entire point of wiggling is just to force the killer to go to the closer hooks instead of hooking you wherever they want to hook you. It was never designed to be a way to get escapes as a survivor (hence why it's so damn rare, a killer has to get really greedy or the survivors have to be incredibly coordinated for you to realistically escape via wiggles).
It's also free BP if you need another reason to wiggle besides "strategy"!

Why would he want to hook you in the other corner? That actually might work in favor of the survivors
Sadly now it gives not BP as far as i know, i dont know if its a bug or intended tho

And according to the design of Boil Over, "going through a door" is an ambitious and greedy play.

That is a confirmed bug so right now I suppose it doesn't but that will be fixed (I assume at least...)
