Ok everyone the next chapter is almost upon us. What do you think the chapter is and what perks?
Me personally I hope for another original chapter. They are better to me as it expands the universe and lore.
I really hope ther are new perks to change the meta and a new boon perk. I feel they are forgotten about.
What do you think?

I'm pretty confident it will be an original killer and then a licensed one for the anniversary.
As for the perks, they could mess around with a boon perk that gives the survivor an x% of vault speed. As for other survivor perks they could other gen perks since they love to add them recently.
As for killer perks, it all depends on the killer that comes out. I don't expect a hex tho.
5 -
Yeah this is my thoughts as well.

I'd like a new perk condition. Called "Finale" when there is only one generator remaining.
"When the trial reaches it's Finale, this perk activates:..."

InB4 Five Nights at Freddy's
In all seriousness, I think the next killer should be original. It should be a two in one killer. A smaller killer, reminiscent of a baby that crawls out of the larger killers bosom. The smaller killer would have a lunging attack similar to Demos shred, only that the little munchkin latches on the survivors face and pulls back on their hair and mouth. The larger killer would be controlled by AI and patrol the gens while the player is in control of the little one.
3 -
So a better twins?
3 -
There hasn't been a new boon since Yoichi.
I want more scourge hook perks too.
As for the killer I don't really care whether it's original or licensed or what the chapter theme is as long as they're fun to play and play against. Hopefully more interesting than the Knight at least.
1 -
Based on what I've seen..
If it's original, I expect the vampire/vlad the impaler chapter.
If it's licensed, I expect FNAF.
I do think it being an original chapter is most likely though.
4 -
Instead of hooks survivors are put on pikes.
4 -
Imagine a roving scourge perk, only affecting two on the map and moves every couple of minutes, but is bad-ass like 50% instant regression on the two closest to repaired, or whatever.
0 -
I love it, great idea. Maybe some different way they work potentially.
I've always wanted them to do a "Gravedigger" type killer that similar to the pike would chain them inside of a coffin on the ground.
2 -
I was 100% sure it was going to be licensed but with birkin release I think some clues I was looking at were referring to that so now I'd bet money on an original chapter.
Obligatory plz be a werewolf but I'm not holding my breath for it.
1 -
Due to the anniversary chapter last year being original, I reckon this one will be licensed, as that would fill the 2 licenses per year quota.
Going from there, I would expect a lower-key license. No idea what it could be, though.
0 -
The Xenomorph 👽️. I read about rumors last year of a licensed Aliens Killer but I guess it never panned out. You could start small as a Facehugger 🦂 and level up to the Queen🦖.
1 -
I tend to like original chapters more than licensed, as I'm not particularly fond of any classic horror license. (For the love of all that is unholy, please no more RE and no more voice lines)
So far in 2022 it alternated between licensed and original, so unfortunately I think we might be on licensed for this one. No idea which one though, as everything we have is speculation.
2 -
Like someone else said I hope we receive another boon and scourge hook perk in the next chapter. No more boring gen perks please! But keep the aura reading perks coming.
3 -
I wonder how this killer’s power will buff survivors.
2 -
I really hope it's not FNAF. We don't need that community's behavior over here. Our community is bad enough already.
4 -
Tbh Im a with you. I think it could make the community worse.
I would much rather prefer an original robot killer
3 -
I don't know anything about their community.

Consider yourself lucky...
1 -
If licenced i hope for Chucky
Original something lovecraftian, or a spiderhybride creature
1 -
It's both good and bad there's some really good stuff out there but moat of the time it's either bad or annoying it's hard to find the good things
0 -
Didnt Cote imply there would be another licensed chapter before the anniversary in an interview or something?
i still kinda hope for Until Dawn, with the Wendigo and Sam. Or Hannibal (either book or show, I agree that Anthony Hopkins version -while creepy- doesn’t really fit the game well).
0 -
I hope the new killer is a vampire
we were shown it a long time ago + vampires are a horror classic
1 -
So exactly like the DBD community in recent years? lol
0 -
I really would not like Chucky in the game. Like how would it even work he is too short
1 -
I think it'll be original.
I am generally quite torn between licensed vs original. Personally, I love having them add licensed killers and getting to interact with them in game. However, in general, I find original killer powers more interesting to play with (Wesker and Demo being outliers).
If its original I want Vampire or Werewolf, but these seem like something they would save for Halloween time (or not due to avoid horror stereotypes). This leaves me relatively in the dark in terms of what the next original killer would be.
If its licensed, I'd really hope for something big. Alien or Predator would be amazing, but those seem rather distant. I think a licensed killer from a video game franchise is more likely (Evil Within, Dead Space, Bioshock, etc.). Personally, I doubt it would be FNAF (seems a tad too controversial atm).
Regardless of who/what the killer is, I am struggling to even think of their power. Reviewing the past few killer's powers:
***"DoT" = passive slowdown/something that makes survivor weaker, rather than general "Damage over time" usage
***PS = Power Spike or something that makes killer stronger
Knight = Summoner/AI assisted
Wesker = dash + "DoT"
Dredge = 2-part teleport - (return to location + teleport to ingame objects) + PS
Onryo = Stealth + Teleport + "DoT"
Artist = Skillshot (long range)
Pinhead = Skillshot (mid-range) + "DoT"
Nemesis = Skillshot (short range) + "DoT" + AI assisted
.....
Maybe a stealth killer since we have not had one since Onryo. Or a powerspike based killer since Dredge is the only one of the past 7. Finally, could be a set-up/trap-based killer (however, these seem rarer, so my guess is probably not).

So is Viktor? He's even shorter
It really wouldn't be hard to make him work if you are even a little creative.
1 -
Victor is attacking not caring survivors and putting them on hooks and kicking generators. He is basically an attack. I really don't think it would work
0 -
Chucky doesn't have to carry survivors either? Pyramid head has the cages, they could come up with something for Chucky.
Or hell, he could even drag them to hooks by their leg. Sadako doesn't even touch them and she still carries them over lol.
2 -
I had thought so but really he said just expect more licensed content before anniversary and birkin technically fills that. I did see a theory that it's chapter 27 and pennywise comes every 27 years, it's a cute idea but I don't see it actually happening.
0 -
It would have to make sense lore wise as well. Chucky doesn't have any magical powers to teleport survivors to hooks or cages.
It would look way yo comical too.
The reason why sadako works is because she is basically psychic. It makes sense with her lore.
1 -
1- Another killer with 2 usefull addons, and rest of them are will be meme and useless, another boring perks about gens or auras, 1 decent perk and 2 complete useless perks
2- Another survivor for Just p3 with 3 annoying and useless perks.
3-Possibly a "new" map, with the same context like other, just a different color pallet on background
4-More bugs
5- Twins still bugged
5-More Feng Min Skins
I forgot something?
4 -
I just hope for a killer that is strong with a high skill ceiling and creative. Something that we haven't seen before. Maybe a killer that really utilizes the whole obsession gimmick. That would be fun. But please don't let it be another "You better Shift + W" type of killer.
I don't really care if it's going to be licensed or not since the few licenses I would like to see are probably never going to come anyway.
1 -
You sound pretty confident it'll never happen. Sounds like you are more uninformed than anything. Even Mathieu Cote himself said in an interview. Chucky would work just fine in terms of hooking and carrying a Survivor. So...yes Chucky would work. Pinhead never puts his arm in the DBD "carry" pose a SINGLE TIME in the entire Hellraiser franchise and yet he does it in this game.. Not very true to the characters mannerisms, but again its still in the game.. Chucky would be no different.
They'll put him in eventually even if to just shut down all that "he's too small' BS.
1 -
With all due respect. Screw original content. I reeeeally wanna see stranger things come back. So I can buy skins for demo. Plus vecna would be a dope killer, and eddie for survivor.
2 -
Again lore wise it doesn't really make sense. How exactly will he pick him up that is consistent with his lore? Pinhead works because it's consistent and makes sense it that he can control the hooks to do actions even if he doesn't do it in the franchise.
0 -
I personally don't want strangers things back either.
Unpopular opinion strangers things chapter was mid at best

Lore wise he could easily drag the Survivor wherever or even use a voodoo doll of that Survivor to force them to move however he wants and/or do whatever he wants. Also BHVR could literally do their own thing by making hooks come down to his level and "WHAM", Survivor is hooked. Saying any Killer couldn't happen is way too pessimistic unless its like Godzilla or Bugs Bunny then sure.. they can't happen.
Again "LORE WISE" Chucky would work just fine. Regardless of if you personally like it or not, it can still happen lol... Just like FNAF will happen eventually as well. *ducks for cover*

Well, Chucky could drag the survivors behind him and slam them onto the hooks (pig is also way stronger in DbD than original source)
he also does have relation to voodoo magic.
third option: Entity gives him additional powers so he can play the trials the way it needs them
other killers also gain additional abilities (I think PHs trail and range attack are DbD original?) or even lose abilities (Freddy)

I guess.
Personally it would be way to comical to take seriously.
The survivors would just kick the doll lol
0 -
Alright, if we're going with lore specifically:
In Cult of Chucky, it shows that Chucky exists in dozens, if not hundreds, of Good Guy Dolls. He also possesses humans AT THE SAME TIME that these dolls are functioning. Chucky could essentially "possess" a survivor to hook THEMSELVES while the doll still functions as the killer itself. The survivor could attempt to snap out of the possession instead of wiggling.
This is just off the top of my head. If the devs add Chucky, they'll find a way to make it doable and sensible.
0 -
I mean. We have survivors kicking victor. And stopping killers like Nemesis and Oni with an old wooden pallet. In dying state they can’t stand up on their own so, not that much strength and kicking would probably be the wiggle animation (which can succeed as well).
also Chucky was always leaning more to the comical side of horror so that also fits.
1 -
If it were an original Killer, I'd like something very lore-related to the Entity with a perk that reminds it.
If he was a licensed killer, even though I know it's impossible, I always hope to see Jason
But above all I hope that there are NO perks related to generators. No more slowdown, kick or speed. I'd like perks related to the chase or some new status effect like burning or frozen or confused
0 -
Jason is possible, i think now even enough time has passed since the lawsuit settled that he might make it.
though the license is split between two parties - one holds the right for the original movie with Pamela as killer, camp crystal lake etc. the other one holds the rights for everything after, including adult Jason with his iconic look. Also I would expect him -if at all- to be anniversary worthy.
1 -
A mobster ghost killer would be pretty cool
His mori would be him pulling out a pistol and doming a survivor with it
1 -
I agree it would of course be more comical, but to me personally, someone like the Trickster is extremely comical. I get that some people like him but to me he just seems very silly, lackluster, and unappealing tbh.
To each their own I suppose. I am looking at it more from the simple fact that someone like Chucky is an icon and has an entire legacy all his own, so I highly doubt the majority would have a problem seeing him confirmed.
0 -
Sure there are some comical and unrealistic elements in the game but it's not to a big extent.
In my opinion comical horror should not be in the game at all unless it overwhelmingly has horror elements like ash vs evil dead.
It's like having leprechaun in the game its so lame. But to each their own I guess
1 -
The very first 3 Child's Play films are pure horror. There is very little, if any, comedic value. Watch those again sometime. It's very easy to forget that after watching the newer movies. :) I also wouldn't count any of Chucky's one liners as comedy. It's simply his way of expressing himself as an evil human being.
