Was today the national tunneling day?
Played a bit of solo queue and duo queue without coms today, kept the record.
9 matches:
me tunneled on 5 gens - 3 matches
My duo partner - 2 matches.
Another random - 3 matches.
1 game no one was hardcore tunneled.
After the ninth game I was like oh idk how I endured this for so long(maybe cause I bring OTR all the time) and went back to play killer.

Until the devs fix the maps, the speed of gens, and buff D tier killers the tunneling will never stop.

I mean it's pretty much what the game is now. I'm sure you had some bad luck as well.

Well IMO... that's just one part
But Maps have a lot to do with Gen speeds
And Survivor in general... Grouping up, Toolboxes and Perks

Those are not only reasons why killers tunnel. It's easiest and best strat so you see many blight and other better killers do it at 4-5 gens commonly. They could easily win other way but why to bother and make game harder for yourself.

until the game changes drastically and makes tunneling useless somehow, every day is tunneling day.
Every time I play casually I will be surprised by how pointless NOT trying to tunnel in this game lol

This fr tho! I hop on to killer to be the change I'd like to see and get almost crushed by swfs with 2 PtS at the minimum and toolboxes with bnps.... so tunneling it is, and so the vicious cycle repeats. 🥲

Tunneling is a smart strategy at times, especially if the other teammates are gonna be altruistic.

Really? You sure they're not just tunneling someone out because they know the gens will get done done fast and easily if they mix hooks?

Take away someone's knife from a street fight, and give them a sword. Doesnt stop the guy from hurting people, you let them hurting people better.
Do Nurses with double range/charge addon and quad slowdown stop tunneling?
I would not say tunneling is a smart strategy. Im not telling an adult smart for knowing 1 + 1 = 2. Everyone knows its obvious.

Any time devs announce changes to the game, expect an uptick in camping and tunneling.
C&T goes away up *before* a patch if killers are getting nerfed, or if survivors are getting buffed. (Like the current perk that starts with an E).
And it goes up *after* the patch if killers got buffed or survivors got nerfed. (See: 6.1)

I thought survivors hated to play "gen simulator" anyway.
They should be happy to be tunneled and be able to play.

Stronger killers can pressure gens and get downs so fast that gens are not going to pop. Other strat would just mean fairer fight but why handicap yourself when you can get quick win at 4-5 gens left. Usually there is still 4 gens left in soloQ when one is tunneled out. Other strat would mean there would be maybe 2-3 gens left when first survivor is death. Survivors still lose usually but at least it was fair fight.
