Do you think playing killer is fun?
I've returned to start playing the game after a long time and I was usually playing killer and still do but nowadays playing killer is not fun, it is just frustrating. Trying to play fun or chill is almost impossible. I try to play chill but survivors don't let me. T-bag after every quick action, blind for every break pallet, waiting and t-bagging on exit until you down them or timer hits almost 0, and worst of all t-bagging on hatch (yes this is worse, one Meg t-bagged me for 10 min nonstop, not joking). Even if they don't do any of these there are a lot of gen rushers, boons on every corner of maps, pallets after pallets and windows (this is the main reason why killers like trapper or Freddy are bad) and when killers made a mistake survivors make a distance to catch up again but when survivors made a mistake they just press 'e'. I understand Devs don't want their game to become a competitive game but making killers and buffing survivors is not the right way. I thought maybe it is just me, maybe I play badly (but what is for matchmaking) but there are lots of killer main who thinks that way. (for the record "Eruption" and 3-gen meta is boring af)

Yes, at least in terms of gameplay.
I get sick after a while seeing Mastermind, Nurse, Blight, Nemesis, Mastermind, Nemesis, Nurse, Blight, etc.
I can play underplayed Killers for example or just these who you don't see that offten! That's not boring at the very least :3

Idk guys I think everyone here is being a tad bit dramatic. I've seen seen plenty of killers no sweat 4k survivors. Yeah some nerfs are coming for eruption but you guys will find something else to use.

I don't even use Eruption, I think that perk is the most boring-meta perk ever and I agree that Eruption needs a nerf.

I enjoy it. It can get a bit stale though. I like to modify my playstyle based on the survs. If they seem weak I'll reign in a bit, extend chases and stretch the game out. If they sweat, then so will I. But i usually let 1 or 2 escape.
Usual modus operandi in games that I'm going to win, is to kill 2 of them, get the last 2 on 2 hooks and then in turn down them, carry them to hook, shake my head and walk to a gen. They usually get the message, then I'll let them finish gens and see them out to the gates, maybe have a slug race if they want it. Or if it's just one left, same thing but carry them/let them look for hatch.
Imo best way to enjoy killer is to not care about winning or losing. I stopped giving a ######### about my monthly rank a long time ago. I don't have a huge amount of bad games unless I'm using a weak killer/wonky build, but when I do I just let it slide right off. I will certainly tunnel out individual toxic survs. And I find bully squads are easy to counter play once you're onto them.

Definetely much more fun than playing survivor. I almost always feel bad for them when I play killer, as I know very well how frustrating it is to play that role.

Killing people in videogames will always be fun.

I have fun ! I also have a much tamer experience than most, considering I am a very lenient and friendly killer and survivors rarely BM me in return.

Yes, it's pretty fun.

Its very fun, lot better than survivor

I think that goes both ways I feel sometimes bad for killers when they're struggling because I've been in that position. But if I feel bad for survivors I usually just let 1-2 escape.

Sometimes. Sometimes less so.

I think it can be fun, but I find I have to be in the mood for it. I can't say I've run into issues the extent that you have. Some games I win, some I lose. I've generally had good post game interaction with the people I go up against
I actually tend to approach Killer less seriously than Survivor, with a mindset of 'prepare to be sweaty, hope to mess around'. I like to be meme-y with my builds with a slowdown or two to keep me afloat and I bring BPS or equivalent when I can so even a bad game gets me something.

Killer is fun in moderation. If I get too frustrated I just switch to survivor or stop playing.

Playing killer is fun when I feel that I’m playing against the survivors and not awful game and map design. So no, it’s not fun.

If I didn't I wouldn't be playing it, and I do play it. So in conclusion: Yes.

It's fun when I'm playing a killer that I'm good at and that can compete against coordinated groups.
After 6.1.0 I spent a lot more time playing killers other than my main (Nurse) because it was finally viable again, with the meta shakeup and basekit buffs to attack cooldown + kicking.
Now that survivors have figured out the changes we're back to effectively the same second chance + healing meta we had before, just with some perks changed out for others. C-D tier killer fun time is over. The upcoming nerfs are going to be the nail in the coffin for weaker killers, so people are slowly going to see a lot more of the stronger killers than they did before.
This from the "be careful what you wish for" department.

Killer is more fun than survivor for me, or at least it should be. But the last few months have really been boring for me. Improving is my goal in most games I play including dbd, but most dbd players do not have that same goal or are simply bad in general at games. It's hard to improve when finding a really good player in this game is 1/50 games.

It's okay, can get a little repetitive though. I find that when i do play survivor i get rekt but i find it really exciting for the most part. Maybe this is my opinion based on a ~20/1 time investment towards killer.

Yes, but it's getting a bit unfun again I am looking forward to the new chapter bringing some new fresh air.

I play both sides but if queue times are quick for survivor I will almost always choose survivor (and I play solo queue). Killer is fun from time to time but I won’t play during peak times because of how frequently I get matched with SWF bully squads that are far above my skill level. I don’t expect to have a “chill” match because the nature of the killer role doesn’t allow for that, but I at least expect to be able to play matches that aren’t constant frustration due to the imbalance of SWF on comms.

I think killer is the only fun role in the game for me. I generally play 50/50, depends on the time of day and the season. Sometimes I wonder why I even play survivor though.

Lol, I was like that few days ago, why am I even playing survivor, switched to main killer and now very happy so much more fun compared to survivor.
0 -
No, not really. I load in expecting bully squads and/or comp survivors and expect the worst out of a match. Keeping my expectations low has made me enjoy the role a bit more, but it's still stressful nonetheless.
