High Prestige Gamers
I gotta ask y'all a question. Are you guys also sick and tired of people villainizing you for liking characters? Like every single time, if you play a high prestige survivor/killer, the community seems to shame you for liking 1 specific person and then proceed to gravitate towards playstyles geared to make you have bad time in games.
It's very draining to muster up the desire to play DBD when queuing with a higher prestige character means I need to be insulted and treated as if I'm some weirdo going out of my to "sweat".

Is that a thing? I dunno I spread my bp across all the survivors, I think I have few over 10 and the rest at 5 prestige. I just thought I would be dodged more if I had a high prestige survivor and get more sweaty matches.

I don't think people care about it that much. Having 100 level isn't something special or rare anymore.

On the flip side, I have been told to kill myself over being a high prestige.
Stuff like that is so ridiculous that it doesn't really affect me, but the sentiment is definitely there in my experience.

I get more compliments on having a p100 blight than I get hate for it.

@topic I haven't noticed this myself but I also don't have any high prestige characters. From a killer end I see high prestige and assume it'll be a bit tougher match as they clearly have a fair amount of play time.

From my experience this hating and insulting for your choices of for example playing with a specific perk, swf or a specific killer (no matter the playtstyle btw) has happened for the last 6 years.

I'm only P35 Cheryl but I've noticed more lobby dodges and I get hit on hook more often or facecamped despite not changing my playstyle at all (memey and gimmick builds).
Haven't been insulted or anything yet though. And to be fair, killers just hit on hook and facecamp anyway so there's nothing really unusual there either.
Maybe as I work up the chain I'll get some really meaty comments.

The lobby dodging is more frustrating tbh. They really should just hide prestige levels, at least until the post match screen.

Killers need SOME sort of indication that they're about to face a bully squad or crazy MMR mismatch, and that's the best one they've got.
