My opinion on map offerings
This post is gonna be a short one, I think they're stupid. Everybody shouldn't be sent to a map because one person wants to play on it, that's dumb. I love getting sent to the same map multiple times in a row because somebody brought the same offering, such good design behaviour.
Now if I were to change them, I'd either flat out remove them, or I'd make them to where they'd decrease your chances of going to a certain map. Not by much, but enough to make a slight difference. I'd rather just remove them though tbh.

If maps were a bit more balanced, the offerings would just be player preference, and not conveying an advantage either way.
Also several killer builds are absolutely map dependent. That too would be hard to change.

I generally agree.
The only time I use them is if I've been stuck in some loop and keep getting sent to the same realm (usually f'n Coldwind) and I just want to get out of it.
Or if I want to play SM Myers, I'll sometimes burn an indoor map offering.
But most often they are played with ill intentions. The game would be better off without them.

youre complaining about map offerings. saw someone complaining about moris the other day. someone else was complaining about shrouds. fog offerings are pointless. black ward, white ward, and such exist, but never see anyone use them. hatch, killer shack, main building, and basement diagrams are pointless unless you intend to solo escape or basement camp.
seems the only offerings allowed to be used are... bloodpoint offerings.

I mean you can use whatever offering you want idc, I just think map offerings are annoying and bad game design.

you could just start using sacrificial wards 🤷🏻♂️ that way no one can ever use a map offering.

Idk I've been doing my white glyph challenge and basement offerings are useful for that. Nice to finally find a tangible use for them 😁

Yeah. That’s a good use.
