Off the Record completely negated with no counterplay
If the killer hits the unhooked survivor immediately after the unhook, Off the Record is made useless.
Have it activate some time after being unhooked. The basekit endurance after unhook will still defend against tunneling and then Off the Record kicks in afterwards.

Maybe off the record should remove collision for few secs after unhook as otherwise survivors would use basekit bt to bodyblock and preventing killer from downing unhooker.

wait so you want two endurance hits after unhook for the price of one perk slot.
That hardly seems fair and balanced.

Even if it activated after basekit endurance, you'd already be in deep wound. So, it would still be countered the same way.
To make it work, you'd have to make basekit bt work like MoM and not cause endurance, then have OTR kick in. And OTR should deactivate if you get healed.

Don't tunnel. That seems fair and balanced.
"But what about the endgame..??"
Yeah? And what about the killer having 1 kill at 5 gens remaining? The survivors lose. If you have multiple survivors alive at endgame, maybe you aren't meant to 4k so easily.

If Survivors don't want me to tunnel, don't unhook next to me, do generators and don't get spotted. Its easy really.
I mean I can still see your scratch marks mate. But Survivors don't think about it and they much rather use it to take hits, which I am okay with following up with a chase. It just helps me as Killer.

that doesn't work. Most killer proxycamp and zone out these days. There's no such thing as safe unhooks. Not in this meta

To fix OTR you make the bt time much shorter but give the survivor a massive speed boost to compensate and then allow otr to work with bt. This fixes the issue with body blocking and doesn't allow killers to bypass the anti-tunnel perk by proxy camping and hitting the unhooked survivor right away.

Sure it does, its simple to get away from the Killer and you can even have perks that help you too.

So the killers eat an Endurance and gives you distance as opposed to waiting 10 seconds for BT and downing you again? Sounds like good value to me.
1 -
How? If the killer is 5m away from hook when unhooking (because he proxied/zoned the whole time - so in fact he could get this close once unhooked) - there's no way to get away. With exception to sprint burst, non-depleted lucky break, Q&Q, indoor map, killer without too much mobility and huge dose of luck. I presume you will not say "see there's your counterplay" for this one. There are no unhook perks that make you run quicker then killer for considerable amount of time.

The game tends to have what we in the community call "loops". Suggest going to one of those.

Wow. I didn't know about that. Figures. Maybe survivors should also try to do gens and killer should try to kill them too... Such a novel things.
Now that we have obvious things out of the way. What does your thing have to do with the topic at hand? How having "so called loops" help you with "not being tunneled"? Because I see no connection. Just smirky remark

If the Killer is camping, Do gens.

This is one of the situations where DS has the upper hand over OTR, it doesn't become useless if the killer hits you immediately off the hook.
0 -
if you don't have reassurence, you are screwed. You need communications or be much better chaser then killer to stand a chance. THat's it
0 -
That won't matter anyways because endurance does not work while in deep wounds
I think a better one would be "if hit within 10 seconds of being unhooked, grant 10% extra haste for the rest of the duration"
0 -
Can't do gens if you're being camped
Then you die, and depip for your troubles
0 -
No bit it's useless regardless
2 seconds doesn't give you much distance, especially against a high mobility killer
0 -
Really? Because of all my unhooks, 99% of them were counted as "safe"
The only time when it wasn't when was the survivor was standing still, and this only happened once to me

You can't take two endurance hits. Endurance does not work while already in deep wound
0 -
Oh no. Not pips. Anything but that.

"Safe" was never adjusted for the basekit Borrowed Time.
A Safe Unhook used to be awarded 15 seconds after unhooking a survivor, but that survivor was vulnerable for those 15 seconds.
Now, with 10 seconds of basekit protection, the survivor is only vulnerable for 5 of those 15 seconds. The 'Safe Unhook' score event should have been bumped to 25 seconds and just wasn't. There would have been a lot less Safe Unhooks if it were.

The rest of OTR works after you're hit, doesn't it? It just uses up the Endurance, not the entire perk. At least as far as I'm aware, I've not used it myself all that much.

OTR is a waste of a perk slot the fact is if I wanted to be quiet I’d run iron will even though that’s been nerfed to the ground the killer just hits me through basekit bt so I might as well not use it

Got to remember, a large amount play survivor for the pips and BP
Being facecamprd gives you neither
