Can't get into the game

Console- Nintendo Switch

I boot up the game.

I hit the A button to continue into the main lobby.

I get an error message saying "CONNECTION ERROR" under that it says "Could not connect to RTM server."

I can't do anything with the game.

    This suddenly started happening to me on PS4 as well. I played a match, everything was fine, tried to load into a new match, got three matchmaking errors in a row. I restarted the game and now I get the "Cannot connect to RTM server" error trying to load in. Restarting the PS4 didn't fix it.

    region: mid-western US, don't know which specific server.
