Drones on Skull Merchant
Is it just me or does anyone else think the Drones on Skull Merchant shouldn't be infinite?

Right and twins should only have a set number of victor respawns and same for artist and her birds, and bubbas chainsaw should completely break after so many uses, and there should be a maximum number of hatchets and knives for trickster and huntress, all killers should be downgraded to basic M1 killers with no powers 15 min into a match.

They're infinite because the survivors can just deactivate them.

So just me then. Cool.

What do you mean infinite? That they stay around until recalled or hacked? 'Cause she'd be even weaker if she had to reset everything, every chase.

are we trying to nerf skull merchant allready.
do you want them to be like pigs traps? but instead of slowing down the game they have mediocre tracking?
2 -
They're not infinite you have 4 and if one gets deactivated it takes 10 seconds to get it back, survivors need to deactivate them at roughly the same time and it severely puts a dent in her map pressure because it will take a while for her to get them all back and setup again.

Cool, thanks.

"We" aren't trying to nerf anything. I just posed a question. Thanks for answering.

Thanks.

That's definitely what I said by posing a simple question.

Yes, you are right, its only you.

But on a tangent: what if Skull Merchant could permanently destroy a drone by manually exploding it and thus putting one close survivor into the dying state? Something along that line, ie a powerful one-time effect that permanently takes away one of the killers tools. There could be an entiry add-on class build around this, like
"Eye in the Sky" - the manual destruction order instead sends the drone high in the sky, where it will be torn assunder by the churning storms of the entity, but for a brief moment all survivors auras are shown to the killer".
"Fragmentation Payload" - the manual destruction order will damage every survivor in that drones radius instead of putting one down.
"EMP Burst" - the manual destruction order will now send out an EMP burst that mess with the survivors nervous system, incapacitating them for 25s --- or --- the manual destruction order will send out an EMP burst, priming any nearby generators. Survivors have to do a 8 digit minigame or become incapacitated for 25s.
I probably should post this in the feedback section.

The nature of the game is that time doesn't hurt the killer as much as it hurts the survivors. Survivors run out of resources, killers don't.
I need to play a lot more matches before I'd suggest any changes, but off the few games I've played I feel like hacking the drones should have more of an impact before she can redeploy.

Why isn't her mori her decapitating the survivor and hollowing out their skull to make a new drone?
That'd be kinda alluring...

wow 10 seconds. meanwhile u risk getting exposed all the time and of course reveal your position.

This sadly wouldn't fly with a lot of the countries with more strikt laws regarding display of violence etc. (especially China with its ginormous market), but dayum! This would be the coolest thing and so much on character!!

You do mean that you think they shouldn't stay deployed infinitely, correct? Because I think some people in this thread think you mean she should have a limited number of drones that she can use across the entire match, like a limited resource. Your wording is confusing.

A timer would be a good idea yes.

i like that idea

Would be nice if devs didn't cater their censorship to the lowest common denominator of pearl-clutching.
How about we give her a t-pose mori in countries that censor games instead of applying the same restrictions in free countries?

Then yea, I agree. A 60s "battery" that she can somehow refresh, say, if she physically enters that drone's radius, coupled with a much longer recharge than the base 10s when a drone is hacked (maybe 25s if hacked, but 10s if recalled or not refreshed) might help cut down on the 3 gen obnoxiousness.
The question is then how to buff her in other ways, because without the 3 gen strat she is laughably weak.
Perhaps in exchange, they make her drones 11m, and she has a 4% haste buff while in her drone's radius?
Or perhaps Claw Traps could actively debuff survivors for their duration... maybe a 4% hindered penalty so that she can actually kind of capitalize off the information she gets from the Claw Traps?

No. But if she wasn’t so good at 3-genning, I don’t think the ‘infinite’ nature of her drones would seem as much a problem.

Disabling them needs to be more rewarding than "She's without one drone for 10 seconds." There's pretty much no reason to actually do the drones.

Yes, the only thing I don't really care for the infinite 3 gen monitoring at the tail end of the trial. Those buff you made are great. I'm sure she'll be monitored and adjusted just like the rest of them over time.

That was also my thinking. Thanks for commenting.

I like the idea of a timer or a cooldown (as someone else said) beyond 10 seconds would be reasonable.
