Purchasing the Premium rift track

So I just finished the current rift, all 80 or so tiers, but I was considering purchasing the battle pass for it, since I never have in the past. If I do that, does it just automatically unlock all the items from the previous tiers? or should I just wait for the next rift.

    Yes, if you buy the rift pass all tiers up to the point where you are are unlocked.

    I bought it later sometimes on PS4.
